50 Cent is undoubtedly a household name in the rap game. For someone who built his reputation as a hell-raiser and career destroyer, 50 is seemingly no longer into having beefs. Everything can be traced back to the 90s when he was just a young hustler from Queens trying to cement his name in the rap game. 50's intended-debut single, How to Rob, from the unreleased Power of the Dollar album, detailed 50 Cent's plan of robbing the era's most prominent rappers and singers from Jay-Z to Big Pun.

"You know why I did How to Rob? I didn't have a choice," 50 Cent told Vibe. "I was on Columbia Records. My album release date was coming. I had no buzz. It didn't matter if it turned into beef with everybody. I took that shot because it was my only shot. If it didn't work, I was going back to the 'hood."

But besides all the beef, 50 also has loyal friends beside him. After nine bullets landed on his body in 2000, 50 got dropped from the label. Eminem and Dr. Dre, who were the biggest rapper of the era, gave him his one shot, and the rest is history. With G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath, the trio developed one of the most vital partnerships on and off the mic. Here's everything celebrities have said about our favorite troll, good or bad.

Updated April 2024: On April 9, 2024, J. Cole reached out to Kendrick Lamar to offer an apology for the diss tracks and beef over the years. When this happened, 50 Cent reached out to J. Cole wanting to have a conversation with him. Either Fifty wanted to know the reason for the apology or was not happy about it. But, regardless of what 50 Cent thought about the apology, one more feud in the rap industry has been squashed.

Over the years, 50 Cent and Rick Ross have been providing the most entertaining piece of competition in hip-hop, which is honestly good for the culture.

"Honestly, I'm a businessman. If 50 Cent still had value, I may have been done it. But not being funny, homie just ain't that dude no more," Rick Ross told Big Boy while promoting his newest record Port of Miami 2. "We was riding through L.A. smoking to Hate It or Love It yesterday. That sh*t was dope. We was saluting Cool & Dre; that's Miami who did the production. Game, 50 Cent… That was dope. If he was still making music like that, of course."

"He said, 'We all are conscious, whether you're doing gangsta rap, whether you're doing so-called conscious rap, whether you doing whatever genre you may in because you have a post, you alive and you're telling your true feelings," the Compton rapper told journalist Zach Greenburg. "These are your true thoughts, and you're conscious of them, and you're aware of them. You are conscious, as simple as that.' When he said that, that inspired me to not only recognize my own influence on what I have with my people."

Off the mic, 50 Cent also shared a unique frenemies relationship with legendary boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. Little did many fans know know, the two actually started off as good business friends. Back in 2013, the rapper even told the Wall Street Journal that he'd been a fan of the boxer since 2002.

According to Floyd, the tension started way back in 2012 when he was serving his jail time, and 50 was involved too much in his TMT boxing promotion business. He wanted to remove longtime promoter/manager Al Haymon from the equation.

"I guess he could've been upset that we didn't come together and start doing the TMT Promotions together," the champ told Drink Champs. "We could've stayed friends. I never asked him to get a part of G-Unit or whatever he was doing, I just thought we had a genuine friendship. That's what I thought."

Two rap heavyweights 50 Cent and Kanye West went head-to-head in terms of sales back in 2007, and 50 threatened to retire if he lost. Kanye walked out as a winner, with his album Graduation walloping 50's Curtis by 957.000 units sold to 691.000.

"It's real good for hip-hop. We're really pushing each other. If 50 wasn't dropping that day, I wouldn't have went so hard on my album. If I wasn't dropping, he wouldn't have went so hard," Kanye told Tim Westwood. "In the past couple of years, people have been dropping stuff aimlessly with no direct competition. To put us up against each other, regardless of who sells the most, I think fans are getting better albums because of it."

A wise man once said, "The friend of your enemy is your enemy." Fat Joe had done nothing to him directly, but he did record a song with 50's infamous nemesis Ja Rule way back in 2005, and that's how the beef started between the two. But speaking to The Breakfast Club, according to Fat Joe, he almost ended 50 & Ja Rule's beef.

"I almost squashed the beef. I was going to bring them (50 & Ja) both out to a concert. 50 was going to do it, and then they went bad on me. Irv & Ja went bad on me saying the beef is till we die," he said. "Them guys they going to be going 80 years old giving speeches about each other somewhere ... I don't want that."

Even though 50 and Fat Joe have squashed the beef, well, it was fun when it lasted.

We all have guilty pleasures, and even a gangsta rapper like 50 does. 50 Cent is a fan of Taylor Swift's 1989 album, which wasn't the first time he ever stood up for the singer.

After the infamous 'I'mma let you finish' incident at the VMAs in 2009 between Taylor and Kanye West, 50 slammed Kanye for the outburst, saying that he'd 'black Kanye's eyes in front of everybody.'

Taylor showed some love back. Chatting to host Chelsea Handler in 2010 while promoting her commercially successful Speak Now album, the singer revealed that she's a fan of the rapper.

"When we're on tour, we have all three girls - the backup singer, the fiddle player, and me in one room, and we all warm up to 50 Cent music. It would be surprising how many lyrics I know," said Taylor. "I'm a big fan of 50 Cent."

The collection ranged between Ja-Z's Reasonable Doubt, Dr. Dre's The Chronic, Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle, Nas' Illmatic, Biggie's Ready to Die, and 50's most hyped debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin. The 'Father of Ashad' picked all the five albums, excluding 50's, and said, "I ain't gonna lie, this is a classic album ... but I represent that love and unity."

As for today, the two biggest cats in the game have squashed their beef.

Eminem is always 50 Cent's favorite 'white boy' until the end of time. Along with Dr. Dre, Eminem joined 50 at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony earlier this year.

"I would say that it's much more fun to be his friend than it is to be his enemy because this guy is fucking relentless. And he won't stop. And the same way that he's relentless in his battles, he's also relentless in his business," said Lose Yourself rapper. "He pretty much does it all. And he's also helped me through a lot of hard times in my own life and he's always been there when I needed him. So 50, congrats on your star, man."
