Being stuck with a group of strangers on a remote island with barely enough resources for you to survive on hardly makes a great situation for romances to blossom and thrive. That would be the consensus, but the hit CBS show Survivor has demonstrated otherwise. The reality series, throughout its 23-year run, has seen a lot of love stories unfold, beginning with romances from the earlier seasons to the later editions of the show.
Incredibly – and interestingly – some of these Survivor couples even ended up marrying each other and starting their own families together! Curious which ones we’re talking about? 6 Survivor: Jaclyn Schultz And Jon Misch
Jaclyn Schultz and Jon Misch had a showmance on Survivor Season 29
Jaclyn and Jon were already dating when they competed on Survivor: San Juan del Sur – Blood vs. Water in 2014. They tied the knot in August 2015 and have been happily married since. In 2020, more than a year after losing their baby, the couple welcomed their first child together – Logan Samuel – via surrogacy, as announced via Instagram.

5 Survivor: Sierra Dawn Thomas And Joe Anglim
Sierra Dawn Thomas and Joe Anglim had a showmance on Survivor Season 30
Joe and Sierra met on the set of Worlds Apart in 2014, although they didn’t start seeing each other until several years later. Speaking with E! News, Sierra said she never expected that she would find love on Survivor.
"Even being out there and competing and seeing him, I never ever would have thought he would be the love of my life. If I knew, I wouldn't have voted him out."
The couple is now married and are proud parents to two children.
4 Survivor: Whitney Duncan And Keith Tollefson
Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson had a showmance on Survivor Season 23
Whitney and Keith became a couple towards the end of Survivor’s South Pacific edition in 2011. At the time, Whitney was still married to her husband, country singer Donny Fallgatter, but the two eventually finalized their divorce.
In July 2014, months after competing on Season 25 of The Amazing Race, Whitney and Keith got married.

3 Survivor: Amber Brkich And Rob Mariano
Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano had a showmance on Survivor Season 8
Undoubtedly the most popular and well-loved Survivor couple, Amber and Boston Rob have been together since they met on the show’s All-Stars edition in 2003. The pair got engaged during the season’s live finale at Madison Square Garden in NYC in May 2004, and exchanged “I dos” in April 2005.
They now have four daughters together – Lucia, Carina, Isabetta, and Adelina. Aside from All-Stars, the couple also appeared on Survivor’s Winners At War edition in 2019, and on two seasons of The Amazing Race together – Season 7, where they came in second, and All-Stars, where they came in eighth place.
2 Survivor: Tyson Apostol And Rachel Foulger
Tyson Apostol and Rachel Foulger had a showmance on Survivor Season 27
After competing on Survivor: Blood vs. Water in 2013 (which Tyson ended up winning), the couple appeared on Season 2 of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars and got engaged during the show’s finale. At the time, the two had been together for more than six years. They eventually tied the knot in March 2015, with Tyson’s Survivor: Tocantins co-star, Stephen Fishbach, officiating the ceremony.

Months after their wedding, Rachel gave birth to their eldest daughter, Bergen Rose, via C-section. The couple then welcomed their second child together, Marlowe, in July 2018. Currently, the two reside in Mesa, Arizona with their family.

Elizabeth Beisel and Jack Nichting had a showmance on Survivor Season 39
Elizabeth and Jack admitted that they were an item shortly after the Survivor: Island of the Idols wrapped up in 2019. The curly-haired pair made the delightful announcement via Elizabeth's Instagram.
“WOAH. Did you guys hear the news? I’ve got a curly haired boyfriend named Jack and he is simply the most wonderful human being I know."
Elizabeth then added, “And yes, we share hair products."
For his part, Jack captioned a series of their photos together, “I am beyond proud to call this curly headed, exuberant, and compassionate woman my girlfriend/twin.”
The two got married in September 2024.
