When an artist reaches a certain level of success, they develop a group of fans. Sometimes these fans are a small group and sometimes they're a very large one. With some artists, these fans are limited to their home country and some artists develop fans all around the world.
It has often been said that artists don't owe anything to their fans. Some stars have been knowingly rude to their fans. Others, however, have been kind and gracious to their fans.

Madonna was just five when she lost her mother to cancer. The loss has impacted Madonna in a very big way. Her career saw her seeking the love and attention from the public which she missed from her mother. Her legion of fans have provided her with that love and every so often, Madonna returns the favor. Such was the case when Madonna was surprised with a letter from the sister of a fan on The Oprah Winfrey Show. This fan was dying of cancer and Madonna routinely called her on the phone before she passed away.
7 Michael Jackson Hugs A Fan In Germany
Michael Jackson has been famous since he was a child. Having experienced the excitement of his fans from such a young age, such attention was normal to him in adulthood. When Jackson would perform on stage, fans would often cry and scream with excitement. Off-stage was no exception. When in Germany, Jackson was met with a group of fans including one woman who asked for a hug. Jackson obliged and the fan was so starstruck that she cried. 6 Lady Gaga Surprises Three Fans At Her Born This Way Foundation Event
From the very beginning of her career, Lady Gaga has had a close relationship with her fans. Dubbing them "little monsters," Gaga would often talk about how they inspire her. The fans echoed those sentiments, explaining how Gaga's individuality helped them feel confident in being themselves. Often times, these were kids who experienced bullying and other issues.
