Communication is always explained as one of the most crucial parts of any good relationship. Throw in honesty and respect, and it's bound to be a lasting romance. But that doesn't seem to be the case for Jorge and Anfisa Nava (formerly Arkhipchenko) on the hit TLC series, 90 Day Fiance.
The couple, who have appeared on the popular reality series, has been in the news a lot as of late considering there have been a lot of lies swirling around about the couple. As it turns out, they were all started by Jorge himself. Shocking, right? Nope!
Anfisa is from Russia and she and Jorge tied the knot on the fourth season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. Jorge found himself lying to his ex-wife quite a lot, mainly when it came to his finances and their marital status. Despite claiming to be a millionaire, Jorge was actually $30,000 in debt. Anfisa had enough of Jorge when she found out he secretly met with divorce lawyers, acting as the catalyst to their divorce. The duo were finally divorced following Jorge's stint in prison back in 2018, and the two have remained estranged since. Nava has since moved on from Anfisa with his current girlfriend, Rhoda Blue, with who he had a child in April 2021. Well, only six months after welcoming baby Zara, Jorge and Rhoda are officially expecting baby number two!
Jorge Lied About Anfisa's Job
Anfisa is living life away from Jorge now, but back when the two were still together, he lied about her job. According to In Touch Weekly, he said that she was a "webcam girl" and even said that she had some other jobs as well that may not have sat too well with Jorge.
Jorge was quoted saying that he lied because he was so upset and angry. He said, “At the time I was really mad at her and I just wanted to hurt her image. I said some things during the tell-all that were lies just to get under Anfisa’s skin. I just did it with the intention of trying to hurt her." Yikes!
The Divorce Lawyer Lie
According to The Wrap, Jorge talked to an actual divorce lawyer, but he didn't tell his wife the truth. He acted like it was just a meeting to get some information. Anfisa told him, “I was really upset when I found out you lied. Because I feel like I’m trying to work so hard in our relationship, and you just keep lying," and well...she was right!
Jorge apologized but he also said something that really explains the reason behind his lying: avoidance of his feelings. He told her, “I’d rather just lie and cover everything up and not have to deal with it," which is certainly a recipe for disaster!
Jorge Lied About Being In Debt
Jorge appears to have also lied about his money. This is a really big deal because when a couple becomes serious and starts thinking about marriage, they definitely have to talk honestly about how much money they have in the bank. As 90 Day Fiance has proven time and time again, finances are something that cannot be ignored.
One of Jorge's biggest lies is telling Anfisa that he was actually a millionaire. As it turned out, this wasn't the case, and it wasn't even close to being true. It was only once the two reality stars were husband and wife that he said he wasn't a millionaire but was in debt. How much debt do you ask? $30,000!
There was another lie that Jorge told: Jorge had a felony and this meant that they were forced to stay in a hotel after Anfisa decided to come over to the United States to be with him, which explains how he's managed to accumulate so much debt.

The couple has had some trouble for a while now. Jorge's arrest in February 2018 happened while he was in Arizona, and he had some substances on him, making the situation all that worse!
Even before that happened, Jorge said that Anfisa wanted to spend too much money and she even was interested in a wedding dress that cost $45,000. According to Cheat Sheet, Jorge was in the Arizona Department of Corrections for two and a half years after he was arrested.

Jorge is out of prison now, and Anfisa has been reportedly dating someone new! As of today, Jorge and Anfisa are officially divorced, and it seems as if both of them have moved on, and rightfully so. Not only has Jorge found love post-prison and Anfisa, but he's also a dad now.
The 90 Day Fiance alum is dating girlfriend, Rhoda Blue, and the two welcomed their first child together back in April 2021. Well, it seems as if they didn't waste time before further expanding the family considering Rhoda is pregnant again! This all comes only 6 months following the birth of their daughter, Zara, which Jorge posted a photo of on his Instagram. While he kept Blue's identity a secret at the start of the relationship, the two are now an open book.
