Summary
- Finding love on 90 Day Fiancé is no easy feat - scammers, disapproving families, and heartbreak await many couples.
- From Azan's lack of attraction to Nicole to Leida's mistreatment of her stepdaughter, these cast members prove to be villains.
- Mark treating his 19-year-old bride like a child and Jay's cheating allegations showcase the darker side of love.
TLC's 90 Day Fiancé and its many spinoffs have taken viewers on a roller-coaster ride. Fans of the show watched as nearly 70-year-old Debbie Aguero packed her bags to move to Morocco to be with Oussama, a man 43 years younger than her. Watched as Darcey's physical appearance changed every season and so did her men. And, gasped at Sarper's dating history, which came with a 2,500 body count. Oh, poor Shekinah.
Finding love across the ocean has not been an easy feat for these couples. Blinded by the thought of love, some cast members have fallen victim to scammers only looking out for themselves and a visa. And if it's not awful schemers, it's family members who vehemently disagree with these relationships and want to make their lives a living hell. It's only right that these cast members are called villains.
You may have forgotten these villains on 90 Day Fiancé, but I didn't.

90 Day Fiancé’s Mary And Brandon’s Fake Colon Cancer Fundraiser Made Them The Show’s Biggest Villains
Mary and Brandon came up with a scheme to get money from their fans but it didn’t go as planned and they were exposed.
8 Azan Tefou
Azan admitted he wasn't attracted to Nicole Nafziger
Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé introduced us to Nicole Nafziger, a Starbucks barista from Florida who met Moroccan Azan Tefou on a dating app. Traveling to Morocco to be with Azan, Nicole was big on PDA, while Azan appeared uncomfortable and was way more conservative, but that's not why Azan is such a terrible person.
Azan admitted to being only 55% attracted to Nicole and pushed her to go to the gym. When Nicole gave Azan six thousand dollars to open up a beauty shop in Morocco, instead of saving it for their wedding, it turned out to be one big fat lie.
On top of it all, Azan was in the middle of several cheating accusations. What happened to this couple? After not one, not two, but three failed wedding attempts, Nicole opened up her eyes and called it quits in 2021.
7 Ricky Reyes
Ximena Parra was his Plan B
Ohio-native Ricky Reyes gets my vote as one of the biggest connivers in 90 Day Fiancé history. Ricky's journey to find love began in Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, when he met a woman named Melissa in Colombia. When Melissa showed that she wasn't interested in Ricky, he went after his Plan B - a Colombian woman named Ximena Parra, who he was also talking to.
Ricky had the nerve to tell Ximena that he hadn't initially traveled to Colombia for her. Although she was extremely upset, she chose to go forward with Ricky's proposal, which, by the way, was the same ring he wanted to give Melissa.
Can it get any worse? Actually, it did as Ximena received a message from Ricky's ex-wife, letting her know he wasn't seriously committed to her. Ricky and Ximena ultimately split.
6 Lesina Pulaa
Asuleu's mother demanded money from him
Asuelu Pulaa and Kalani Faagata started their romance in Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé. However, it's not the couple that were the villains here. Asuelu's mother, Lesina Pulaa, put a strain on their marriage by demanding that her son give her money to help support her and his family in Samoa. Struggling to financially support his own family with Kalani, his mother would not accept that her son wasn't coughing up the cash. In addition, she constantly pressured her son to divorce Kalani.
To make matters worse, Asuelu's sister, Tammy Acosta, believed their mother was right. When Kalani straight up asked Tammy if she had sent her own money back home, Tammy gave Kalani a dirty stare and said, "It's none of your business." Lesina put immense pressure on Asuelu and caused major problems in his relationship with Kalani.
5 Mark Shoemaker
Mark treated his 19-year-old bride like a child
90 Day Fiancé Season 3's Mark Shoemaker would wake up every morning and look in the mirror and creepily say, "You're a specimen." Even more creepy was the 58-year-old dating a 19-year-old Philippino woman named Nikki Mediano. What was also strange was Nikki was from the same city as his ex-wife. She was also younger than his four children.
Although the age gap is certainly off-putting, what made Mark a villain for me was the way he babied Nikki. And, she certainly shouldn't be treated like one of his children. In one episode, he told her not to touch the windows of his car, as if she was a feeble-minded child.
4 Leida Margaretha
Leida got a restraining order on her stepdaughter
Leida Margaretha appeared on 90 Day Fiancé's Season 6, and she was downright awful. Having met Wisconsin-native Eric Rosenbrook online, Leida flew to the U.S. from Indonesia to be with him. Upon arrival, Leida despised his messy apartment, which he blamed on his daughter Tasha. Leida made remarks that she came from a well-off family in Indonesia and was too good to live in a home like Eric's.
Leida clashed with Tasha to the point where she convinced Eric to kick her out of their apartment. Even more appalling on Leida's part is the restraining order she requested be put on her stepdaughter.
3 Mohammed Jbali
Mohammed publicly called out Danielle's sexual hygiene
Mohammed Jbali hailed from Tunisia and came to the U.S. with intentions of marrying Danielle Mullins and starting a new life. From the very start, Season 2's Mohammed showed that he wasn't physically attracted to Danielle and that he was just in it for the green card. He blamed his religion for not kissing her on their wedding day and revealed on national television that he was not intimate with Danielle because of her sexual hygiene. That is one vile human being.
However, some viewers are stating that Danielle isn't any better. She lied about her finances, was obsessive, and manipulative, and should also be labeled a villain.

Which '90 Day Fiance' Couples Are Still Together?
90 Day Fiance couples go through a lot to get married from the Visa process to financial hurdles and only a few stay together after marriage.
2 Myriam Mana
Myriam blindsided Patrick when she told him she had a boyfriend
I bet you forgot all about Myriam Mana, the French woman who broke Patrick Cornett's heart. 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season One showcased Patrick, an American DJ, connecting with Myriam online and flying to France to see her. Patrick was smitten with Myriam, but she dropped a bomb when she told him in France that she had a boyfriend.
The entire length of their journey showed Myriam acting like a friend and tour guide while Patrick was in France. It was brutal to watch and that's why she made my villains list.
1 Jay Smith
Jay was caught fooling around with a woman inside a barbershop
Season 6 couple Jay Smith and Ashley Martson had a tumultuous relationship. Ashley had met Jay in Jamaica and was ready to start a life with him in the United States. Just three days after their wedding, Ashley found out he had downloaded the dating app, Tinder. She was certain he was going to cheat on him (although he may have already had at that point) had she not caught him using the app.
The most shocking claims about Jay's unfaithfulness came when a barbershop employee told Ashley that he had caught Jay having sex with a woman inside his business. Jay didn't deny the accusations when Ashely confronted him. Jay goes down in my book as one of 90 Day Fiance's biggest snakes.
