At the height of One Direction's fame back in 2014, now-disgraced director and movie producer Harvey Weinstein offered Styles a role in Tulip Fever. He was keen on casting the powerhouse singer to co-star with Victoria's Secret model and his rumored former flame Cara Delevingne, but he ended up turning down the offer. The role itself ended up going to Matthew Morrison.
"I offered Harry a role in Tulip Fever, but he was touring so he had to turn it down. The part ended up going to Matthew Morrison," Weinstein explained to Daily Mail, adding, "He's like Errol Flynn, he's got that swashbuckling charm. Definite star potential. I think he'd be great. No question."

In 2017, Styles made big headlines after securing his debut acting role as Alex, one of the British soldiers during the Dunkirk evacuation of World War 2, in Dunkirk. Directed by Olivia Wilde, the psychological thriller flick chronicles the story of a young, perfect-picture married couple (played by Styles and Lady Macbeth star Florence Pugh) in the 1950s as the wife tries to crack down on her husband's company's shady past. The steamy-looking trailer just dropped a few weeks ago back in April, and fans are more than excited!
