Fans of Dance Moms back in the day saw drama escalate between Abby Lee Miller and some of her famous dancers from the show like Chloe Lukasiak, Maddie Ziegler, Mackenzie Ziegler, Nia Sioux, JoJo Siwa, and more. The show was controversial for a long time for many reasons, including Abby traumatizing the girls. Since they left the show, many of Abby's former students have distanced themselves from her and don't even really like talking about their time on Dance Moms. While the show gave them all massive platforms and careers, many of the girls have been outspoken about their negative feelings toward both Dance Moms and Abby.

Dance Moms aired for the first time in 2011, and Abby quickly established herself as a short-tempered, strict dance teacher who played favorites and yelled a lot. Things started to go downhill when her dog passed away, and then, that same month, her mother passed away also after a long fight with cancer. During season 4, she had a big physical battle with Kelly Hyland, which led to Kelly quitting the team and filing a lawsuit against Abby. Abby was then sentenced to one year in prison after she was found guilty of hiding $775,000 in income after filing for bankruptcy. Abby spent a year in jail and said she was treated badly. Then, why the cast of the show may not feel bad about her tragic life? Here is what the Dance Moms stars say about her.

Abby Lee Miller Shaded Kenzie Ziegler's Singing Career

Recently tensions between Abby and some of her former stars have escalated on social media. In July 2020, Abby shaded Kenzie Ziegler's music career during her internet talk show, Ask Abby. Maddie's little sister clapped back at Abby, commenting on the TikTok Room's post, writing, "Love when people can't keep my name out of their mouth just to stay relevant," with crying emojis.

Over the past couple of months, some former Dance Moms stars have taken part in the viral TikTok Bulletproof challenge. Many celebs have taken part in the challenge, and their videos always begin with, "You think you can hurt my feelings?" before going on to explain a challenging time in their lives that has made them "bulletproof." James Charles, for example, wrote, "You think you can hurt my feelings? 'I lose 3 million subscribers in one day & [was] canceled over something I didn't actually do."

Many others have used the challenge and La Roux song, Bulletproof, to talk about their awful breakups or relationships. But the Dance Moms girls hopped on board and made the challenge their own. Kenzie posted her version, writing, "You think you can hurt my feelings? I was on Dance Moms."

Dance Moms Stars Were 'Traumatized' By Abby Lee Miller

Another co-star who hopped on board with the trend was Chloe Lukasiak. She wrote, "My experience was so traumatizing I don't remember those four years. It's an actual coping mechanism!" Meanwhile, Nia Sioux wrote, "You think you can hurt my feelings? I was the only black girl on Dance Moms." In her caption, Nia also even called Abby "the biggest bully in America."

How about JoJo Siwa? She has actually been one of the only girls from Dance Moms to continue to talk about it. She even made an appearance on the final season alongside Abby. JoJo also recently spoke to James Charles about how she doesn't mind talking about her time on the show. However, that didn't stop her from joining in on the challenge.

Indeed, she was the first to do it, sharing all the different awful things people have said about her since she was on the show, writing, "Hi, I'm JoJo, and... I've heard it all."

Abby Lee Miller Called Her Old Students' Ungrateful'

It appears Abby may have caught wind of everything the girls have been saying on TikTok because she just called out her old students, this time, calling them ungrateful. In response to a comment on Instagram, obtained by the TikTok Room, Abby Lee reportedly wrote, "Wow! Thank YOU for being thankful to others and grateful to producers and businesses - my former students can't seem to even remember the name of the show they were on!"

Many fans were quick to call Abby out for this comment writing things like "They don't want to remember the verbal abuse and trauma Abby," and "She's just mad they don't need her anymore." It's unclear where Abby left this comment, but it may have been in one of her Instagram posts, where she shaded her former dancers yet again in the caption.

In one post, Abby compared the Dance Moms season one cast with the season eight cast, seemingly calling the original cast and their moms lazy. She wrote, "Back in 2011, the kids just sat in a chair next to their moms - nobody actually had to try to out-dance one another! Never in a million years would some of those OG's have jumped on a plane and flown across the country with their kids to audition for a TV show... They wouldn't even drive 5hrs to NYC when I set up auditions for them."

No one from the original cast has responded publicly to Abby's recent post or comment about them, not even remembering what show they were on. But, it's clear from their TikToks that they're bulletproof, and not even Abby can hurt their feelings anymore.
