Ex-Southern Charm Star Olivia Flowers Is Engaged

Former Southern Charm star Olivia Flowers is engaged to Alex Williams.

When Olivia was last in the news cycle, it was for less pleasant reasons — her firing from Bravo's Southern Charm.

Olivia became part of the Southern Charm cast for Season 8, and she was considered a "fan favorite" on the show.

Back in July, Olivia confirmed that she wasn't returning for Southern Charm Season 10, and she made it clear that it was "not [her] choice" — i.e., she was axed.

Olivia spilled the tea on Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay's Scheananigans With Scheana Shay podcast, telling her fellow Bravolebrity how it all went down.

She said she "got the call" from the network, and relayed how the axe fell:

"'I got the call,' Flowers shared. 'The production company was just like, 'You don't really seem to be in Charleston that much. We're noticing on your Instagram you're in Texas, you've got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you're choosing a different path.'

"However, the decision by producers is not one that Olivia necessarily agrees with. She admitted that she does not think she is 'choosing a different path.' She continued, 'I'm just kinda living my life. My parents had just moved to Texas, and the boyfriend thing just happened very randomly. I'm really glad … like, he was the best part that came out of that year.'"

Interestingly, it seemed like Bravo's executives implied that Olivia chose her "new boyfriend" over her commitment to Southern Charm, and she was initially displeased about it.

In light of today's news, it seems like Olivia knows on which side her bread is buttered.

Olivia Flowers And Alex Williams Kept Their Engagement Secret At First

On October 3, People exclusively reported on Olivia and Alex's engagement.

Per the magazine, Alex proposed to Olivia on September 25, at a hotel overlooking Central Park in Manhattan.

Alex and Olivia have been together for about a year, and the outlet said:

"Williams reveals that Flowers' parents and many of her close friends were present when he asked her to marry him in the Meadow Terrace Suite at JW Marriott Essex House.

"According to the couple, Williams got down on one knee with a custom 4-carat diamond ring from Nicole Rose Jewelry which featured an 18k yellow gold band and a 'classic, simple and elegant' style."

Olivia was in New York for New York Fashion Week (NYFW), and at the same time, Alex planned his proposal.

She recalled how he phrased the question:

Olivia Barbara Ellen Flowers. You're the girl of my dreams. Became the love of my life. And I’d like to ask: Will you marry me?

Olivia was tagged in an Instagram post announcing her engagement, but has yet to comment, and no date for their nuptials has yet been disclosed.
