Since America's Got Talent has millions of devoted fans, a lot of fascinating facts about the hit reality show have been revealed. For example, some fans have learned that the judge, Howie Mandel, has a scandalous past and that Howard Stern was once cruel to Howie. On top of that, some passionate America's Got Talent fans have followed what happened to Terry Fator. One of the most interesting America's Got Talent facts that has surfaced is that the show's winners don't actually get the full $1 million prize that is advertised.

As great as it is that fans have taken so much interest in America's Got Talent, the show's huge success has led to it airing for almost two decades. During one of the most recent America's Got Talent episodes, the show brought back two acts from that lengthy history, and one of them got to live a dream come true.

The Messoudi Brothers' America's Got Talent Return Ended With A Golden Buzzer

When people have a chance to achieve their dreams during a single performance, that is often called a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For most people who earn the chance to audition for the America's Got Talent judges, that truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Amazingly enough, however, some America's Got Talent performers make such a mark that they get another bite at the apple. During the 20th season of America's Got Talent, the Messoudi Brothers got the chance to audition for the show once again.

Given that AGT performers are under a stunning amount of pressure, the Messoudi Brothers could easily have flopped and been rejected. Despite that, not only were the Messoudi Brothers great during their return, they actually earned a Golden Buzzer.

During the 14th season of America's Got Talent, the Messoudi Brothers auditioned and advanced far into the season. In fact, the brothers made it all the way to the semifinals before they were eliminated.

According to Entertainment Now, the Messoudi Brothers were trained to be acrobats by their father, who was also a performer. In fact, the brothers began their training so young that they reportedly were 2 or 3 years old at the time.

In June 2025, America's Got Talent fans saw the brothers return to the show to audition again. As a Facebook video shows, the Messoudi Brothers' proceeded to give a performance that truly impressed all the judges. Most notably, Mel B was so impressed by what the Messoudi Brothers accomplished that she hit the Golden Buzzer.

Sharon Osbourne’s Makeup Artist Sued America’s Got Talent’s Producers After She Allegedly Suffered A Life-Changing Injury

America's Got Talent's producers sued after Sharon Osbourne's makeup artist allegedly suffered a horrible accident on the show's set.

If that wasn't impressive enough, Mel B wasn't the only one who believed that the Messoudi Brothers were worthy of the Golden Buzzer accolade.

Who Are America's Got Talent's Season 20 Judges?

  • Howie Mandel
  • Mel B
  • Sofía Vergara
  • Simon Cowell

That same Facebook video showed that after Mel B hit the Golden Buzzer, Sofia Vergara remarked that she was going to hit the big golden button too. In response to that revelation from Sofia, Simon told her that she needed to act faster. "You should've got there."

Given that Mel B and Sofia were that impressed by the Messoudi Brothers, it is worth looking at what they did to garner so much praise. As the same Facebook video shows, the sibling duo accomplished something truly unique and dangerous-looking.

When the Messoudi Brothers originally competed on America's Got Talent, there were three of them. However, during the Messoudi Brothers' season 20 audition, there were only two of them. One of the Messoudi Brothers told the judges why their third sibling wasn't performing with them. “We left our brother at home for this one because he just decided to sit out. He has two children now, so he does some time off every now and then. We’re trying something new that’s quite a lot more dangerous than what we did last time.”

As their performance began, the Messoudi Brothers began by juggling large knives from a considerable distance. Since that kind of juggling act had been seen in the past, the Messoudi Brothers then took things up a notch, to say the least.

America’s Got Talent's Producers Got Sued Over A Wrongful Death Allegedly Caused By Their Negligence

America’s Got Talent's producers were sued after the passing of a woman in a wheelchair was blamed on their alleged negligence.

As they continued to juggle the very dangerous-looking knives, the Messoudi Brothers both began undressing one piece of clothing at a time. Each time they took something off, the brothers threw their removed clothing to one another alongside the knives.

It is important to note that one of the Messoudi Brothers was dressed in a white suit without a shirt and the other had donned the same outfit but in black. After taking off their suits, their shoes, and even a pair of trunks, the brothers threw everything to each other and then dropped it on the floor.

Amazingly enough, the brothers then began putting on each other's clothes as they continued to juggle the knives. Eventually, the brothers pulled off the feat of fully exchanging outfits while juggling knives. As amazing as what they did was, there were two more pivotal keys to what made the Messoudi Brothers' performance so great.

First off, it really felt like the Messoudi Brothers were in a great deal of danger throughout the performance. After all, as they continued to exchange knives, there were several moments when the siblings struggled with their outfits. For example, one brother put both of their legs in the same leg of their pants and had to adjust that while still juggling knives. At another point, one of the brothers repeatedly dropped a jacket as he tried to put it on.

The other key to what made the performance great was that the Messoudi Brothers maintained a positive energy throughout. Considering the obvious peril they were in and the fact that things didn't always go smoothly, keeping up that energy of positivity was impressive.

America's Got Talent's Alex Zinger's Return Impressed The Judges Far More Than The First Time

During the same episode that featured the Messoudi Brothers getting a Golden Buzzer, another performer from America's Got Talent's past returned. After previously auditioning during Season 19 and getting rejected by all four judges, Alex Ziner came back to dance again.

America’s Got Talent Got Sued When A Child Accused Tyra Banks Of Abusing Her On The Show's Set

Tyra Banks' America's Got Talent tenure resulted in a controversy when a lawsuit was filed claiming she abused a child who was auditioning.

As can be seen in a YouTube video of Alex's return, he danced to "What Is Love" by Haddaway during his return. Alex performed while wearing white alongside a group of women wearing sparkly outfits that were either wearing gold or silver.

Throughout Alex's performance and after, he kept the crowd and the judges laughing and having fun.

In response to Alex's performance, Simon Cowell gave a fascinating description of what he found delightful about Alex's performance.

"Sometimes we have people on, who are, gonna be honest with you, who are good, but boring. You're bad, but interesting. Seriously, that's the only way I can put it. For me, I either like really good things or things that I just find interesting. You are fascinating. You are. The fact that you went to this much effort, I tell you what, you stand for every man who can't dance but wants to and that's a good thing."

Alex's performance was almost given a "no" from one of the judges, Sofía Vergara. After outright saying that she wanted to say "no," Sofia was won over by the crowd's incredible enthusiasm and relented, ultimately giving Alex a reluctant "Yes."
