Since making his mainstream breakthrough with his explosive major-label debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2003, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has been killing it. The Queens, New York native worked his way up the hip-hop respect, put his homies on through his G-Unit Records imprint and continued the success with a follow-up album, The Massacre. He also cemented his name as an important figure in today's TV history, creating Starz's highest-rated drama Powerz and starring in many hit movies.

With that being said, however, 50's private life is far from perfect. He has two sons, Marquise and Sire, who were born from different baby mothers, but he has been estranged from one of his sons. The rapper even went as far as saying that he wouldn't mind if his son "got hit by a bus" after hanging out with the son of one of 50's rivals. To sum it up, here's an update on whatever happened to 50's kids, and what's next for the rap veteran.

8 How Many Kids Does 50 Cent Have?

Up to this writing, 50 Cent has two children from two different women. The eldest, Marquise Jackson, was born on October 13, 1997, in 50's relationship with Shaniqua Thompkins. The latter, Sire Jackson, was born on September 1, 2012, to the rapper and his girlfriend at the time, Daphne Joy.

Shaniqua and 50 Cent parted ways a long time ago, and they've been going at each other on social media, and Daphne was rumored to have been dating 50's nemesis Sean "Diddy" Combs.

7 What Happened Between 50 Cent And Shaniqua Thompkins?

After a tumultuous relationship, 50 Cent and Shaniqua Thompkins parted ways in 2008, and according to the rapper, she's been using his son to turn himself against his own father.

She further claimed that Fiddy promised her his $4 million Long Island home before a deadly fire burned down the house completely. Ten people, including Shaniqua and then-10-year-old Marquise, were hospitalized. She also said that 50 had deliberately set the house on fire, to which he denied.

6 Why 50 Cent Has Been Distant From Marquise?

Since then, Marquise and 50 Cent have been distant and speaking badly about each other, as he grew up mostly with his mother.

He told Rap-Up in 2017 that, although he once viewed his father as a superhero figure, the view started eradicating as he got older. In his own words, "As I got older, you start realizing things or you start seeing certain patterns and it takes an effect on your relationship with people. That’s what happened with me and my father. He’s still alive but I can’t tell you our last conversation or the last time we even had a dialogue."

5 Why Marquise Jackson Was Hanging Out With The Son Of 50 Cent's Rival

Things took an uglier turn when Marquise Jackson posted a snap of himself hanging out with the son of Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff, a crime boss and a convict who was allegedly linked with the fatal shooting that left nine bullets in 50's body back in May 2000. He's now serving a lifetime sentence at USP McCreary in Pine Knot, Kentucky, for unrelated charges, but the damage is done.

4 How 50 Cent Feels About Marquise Jackson Hanging With Supreme's Son

50 Cent, being as he is, left a quite disturbing comment on the picture, saying that he "wouldn't mind" if any of these kids "got hit by a bus."

Following the backlash of his comment, he took to Twitter to say this, "I have zero ill will towards anyone living on this Earth. The people Shanquois son looks up to and associates with is a reflection of the negative energy he embraces towards me. I paid his mother $1,360,000 in support to afford him opportunities I never had."

3 What Sire Jackson Has Been Doing

50 Cent's other son, Sire Jackson, has been living quite a contrary life compared to his half-brother. While 50 has been estranged from Sire's mother (after all, she's rumored to have been dating 50's enemy Puff Diddy last year), he always tries his son give the high life that he's never had.

At just the age of 2, Sire signed a modeling deal with Kidz Safe headphones under a $700,000 worth of contract thanks to 50 Cent, who also set up a trust fund for him.

Not only that, but the "Candy Shop" rapper had once rented out an entire Toys 'R' Us shop at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ, back in 2019 so that his son could go on a private shopping spree. As reported by E! Online, the rapper spent a whopping $100,000 and let the boy have anything he wanted in it, although the company filed for bankruptcy a year before.

"When I asked my Dad for the 'WHOLE Toys R Us Store' for Christmas I didn't think he would actually do it, but he did," Sire took to Instagram. "Thank you Daddy! Best Christmas Ever!"
