Angelina recently revealed that she brought Vivienne on to work on her musical adaption of The Outsiders because of the teen’s budding love for the arts.

"Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn't focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives," she told E! News. "She's very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute."

Angelina has a history of bringing her children on to work on her various projects. Last year, the actress revealed she hired her eldest sons Maddox and Pax to work on her film Without Blood, starring Salma Hayek and Demian Bichir.

"We work well together. When a film crew is at its best, it feels like a big family, so it felt natural," the Oscar-winner told PEOPLE about working with her sons.

Prior to this, Angelina worked with Pax on the 2017 drama First They Killed My Father, which she directed and he acted as an on-set photographer. "[She's] fun, funny, and easy to work with," he told PEOPLE of working with his famous mother. "She's a wonder."

"Maddox worked hard. It's up to him,” Angelina piped in, to which Pax replied, "I was trying to help wherever I could.”

Even more, this isn’t the first time Vivienne has participated in one of her mom’s projects. She played a young version of Aurora in Maleficent as a toddler. Angelina revealed this only came to be because the other child actors were scared of her costume, but Vivienne wasn’t.

"We think it's fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors. That's not our goal for Brad and I at all," she told Entertainment Weekly in 2014. “But the other 3- and 4-year-old [actors] wouldn't come near me. Big kids thought I was cool- but little kids didn't like me.”

"So, in order to have a child that wants to play...it had to be a child that liked me and wasn't afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv,” Angelina went on.

While Angelina may be trying to cultivate Vivienne’s passion for the entertainment role with the new, reports are still swirling that Angelina is refusing to drop her custody case against her ex-husband Brad Pitt, despite their children asking them to let go of the fight. The pair remain engaged in multiple court cases, despite being separated since 2015.
