Angelina Jolie's days in Hollywood could be numbered, as the actress’s recent comments on fame show that she’s not impressed by the lifestyle after so many years in the entertainment industry.

“I was never very impressed with it. I never bought into it as significant or important. I wanted to escape,” she recently told to the Wall Street Journal, referring to her history of advocacy work.

Angelina has been an ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, and her efforts have taken her to many places around the work, including Cambodia, Pakistan, and Sierra Leon.

“There’s a reason people who have been through hardship are also much more honest and much more connected, and I am more relaxed with them,” she continued. “Why do I like spending time with people who’ve survived and are refugees? They’ve confronted so much in life that it brings forward not just strength, but humanity.”

The Maleficent star was asked to open up about her personal life, but she declined to give a lot of detail. “I don’t really have... a social life,” Angelina admitted, adding that her ongoing divorce and custody battle with ex Brad Pitt has taken away her ability to “to live and travel as freely” as she wants.

“I will move when I can,” Angelina added, emphasizing she sees more travel in her future.

For now, the actress is keeping herself busy with a variety of projects, including the launch of her fashion house Atelier Jolie in New York, which several of her children participated in.

Angelina is also producing an off-Broadway production of The Outsiders, and hired her youngest daughter, Vivienne, as a production assistant. "Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn't focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives," Angelina told E! News. "She's very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute."

However, one report claims that Brad sees that as an attempt to isolate their kids from him even more. “He thinks this is just another attempt by Angie to drive a wedge between him and his daughter,” a source told Life & Style. “It’s no secret that Angie’s always trying to make sure the kids are Team Mom. She’s a master manipulator when it comes to the children taking sides.”

Since she filed for divorce in 2016, Angelina has been pursuing primary custody of their kids. The exes have apparently spent millions on the battle, but one report from earlier this year claimed Angelina has no plans to drop the case, even though her kids have asked her to let the legal drama go.

“She is going to drag this [custody battle] out until the twins [now 14] turn 18,” a source claimed.

"Angelina doesn't want to let her fight for sole custody go, but the children are growing up, and even they tell their mom it's time to stop," another source told Radar Online. “Maybe with the exception of Maddox, they all actually like him.”
