Not every pair of actors who appear in a film together are BFFs, and the same is true of TV shows. From feuds between co-stars like Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice on Nickelodeon to the strife between former castmates and on-screen besties from 'Gossip Girl,' it's common for celebrities to get on each other's nerves.

And with all the drama and hype surrounding Tom Holland becoming Spider-Man (everyone was mostly worried about Andrew Garfield's opinion of the new Spidey, of course), fans had to wonder whether he and Jake Gyllenhaal were really as chummy as they seemed on set.

Since Jake already has a famous celebrity godmother, fans might think he's a bit stuck up. After all, sometimes having high-profile connections means celebs are snobs. But it turns out, Gyllenhaal is more like the everyman, and it seems like he and the super-chill Tom Holland really hit it off.

Like, more than hit it off.

Though Jake is a pretty private person, he was been all over the press junket (and social media) promoting 'Spider-Man: Far From Home.' And while the film pitted Tom and Jake against one another (Jake as Quentin Beck AKA Mysterio), the two really bonded during their time on and off the set together.

Jake even joked on Instagram that he and Tom were getting married, much to fans' delight. They also seem to enjoy the hashtag #husbandgoals, which TBH might be some sort of veiled reference to Jake's role on 'Brokeback Mountain.'

But really, who cares?

Plenty of male friendships in Hollywood -- especially in music -- are stigmatized, and it's kind of silly. This seems to be the point of these guys' posts about their friendship and the bond they formed on 'Spider-Man.'

And as a much more experienced actor than Tom, Jake probably has plenty to teach his young co-star, about being both a hero and a villain to the masses. Though they're done touring the globe now, the pair did globe-trot together for the press tour pre-'Spider-Man' release.

The guys met fans, signed autographs, and took a lot of silly photos together while on their worldwide tour. And odds are, even though the film has wrapped, Jake and Tom probably still get together to hang out, dress up as their on-screen alter-egos, and have fun with fans.

And who knows where their careers will take them -- it's not unheard of for Hollywood bros to appear in multiple films together. Besides, it doesn't have to be an MCU film -- fans would take any genre or franchise at this point, just to get more Holland-Gyllenhaal content.
