Nothing is more crucial than a connection in terms of romance and relationships. People frequently confuse it with physical attraction, which is why shows like The Bachelor, Too Hot to Handle and Love is Blind exist to challenge the status quo. The latter, in particular, takes on the concept by having people date and marry without ever seeing each other — a format that its Brazilian adaptation, dubbed Love is Blind: Brazil, adapted.

In Brazilian adaptation, candidates like Lissio and Luana demonstrated that falling in love only on the basis of one's personality is achievable. These two were looking for a real connection and they found one, in each other! Their wedding was one of the most heartfelt, with tears and kisses galore. The couple said I do, and fans couldn’t be happier for them, but are they still together now?

Luana And Lissio’s Journey In 'Love Is Blind: Brazil'

"Do you believe love is truly blind?" Yes! That was the unanimous response of the participants in Love Is Blind: Brazil, the adaptation of one of Netflix's most popular reality TV shows, which established couples and stayed in the experiment to the altar. It puts to the test whether it is possible to fall in love without ever meeting.

And it appears that love is truly blind after Luana and Lissio fell in love with each other. On the first date, Lissio Fiod, then 34, struck up a conversation with Luana Braga, a 33-year-old psychologist. They placed bets to predict where they were from when the issue arose to break the ice and keep the conversation going.

While Lissio stated that if she got it correctly, he would buy her supper, Luana stated that if it were the other way around, she would prepare. And, while she lost the game, the way their conversation continued thereafter was a success for both of them, especially when it led to them talking freely and planning future dates. That was the start of their story.

Lissio shared a similar bond with another contestant, Carolina Stamatis, a 29-year-old lawyer, and he appeared to be open and honest with both women about their situations. Carolina, however, became enraged after a few days and told him he was duped before storming away. With that said, Lissio's plans were unaffected because he had already planned to propose to Luana because their values and future aspirations were compatible.

His proposal was as dreamy as predicted, and he once again showed that he is incredibly kind and outgoing, defying everyone's first impression of him. Luana and Liscio both answered "yes" at the altar, admitting that nothing is ever perfect and that they want to spend eternity in their imperfect world.

Are Luana And Lissio Still Together?

Lissio and Luana got married and are still together, according to multiple sources, which report that they're "happy and living in the same house." When the duo met face to face, their bond grew even stronger, and nothing nor no one appeared to be able to break them apart.

They have it all, from her self-assurance in who she is and what they had to his resolve to make things work and express his emotions through simple gestures, not to mention their Instagram accounts are full of their love photos. Besides, Lissio admitted that he didn't see Luana's fiery personality as a flaw; rather, he admired it. They've had their share of arguments, as in any real-world relationship, but they are eager to speak it out for the sake of their love and potential future.

Are The Couples Paid To Choose A Partner?

All the contestants have a unique journey. However, they agree on one thing: The experiment is a more serious way to find a partner than popular methods like dating apps. This method cancels out the shallow stereotypes. Luana and Lissio from Love Is Blind: Brazil agree that the experiment is so unbelievable. People on the street often ask them if they were actors who received payments to fall in love.

In the interview, Lissio explained why he joined the reality TV show. He said, “…I also heart a lot of people say, ‘We’re you desperate [to find love]” So why did you go for something like that?’”

He went on to say, “I’m 35. I have a lot of life experience. I thought that if life is knocking on your door with an opportunity like this, it could be a huge growing experience... maybe even for my soul. I thought, ‘Why not? I want my wife, so why not? What could I lose here?’ I only had something to win. So I don’t care about those comments, because now I have a huge present for life here.”

While it appears like the couples who appear in Love Is Blind: Brazil weren’t given salaries, it sounds like many of them had a good experience. And for Lissio and Luana, going to the show is not about the money but about finding the love of their life.
