Credit to Arnold, he's always truthful and that held true, speaking alongside Jimmy Kimmel a few years back, discussing a rumor he finally confirmed. Kimmel asked Arnold if he in fact sabotaged Stallone into doing the film, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. Arnold confirmed the rumor and got quite the reaction.
"The story goes that you somehow tricked him into doing a bad movie. Is that true?" Schwarzenegger replies, "Yes, it's part of the..." before getting cut off my the audience's reaction.
Arnold would go on to reveal that his feud with Stallone was very real.
“In the ’80s, he was just a rival. It was all about who was making bigger movies, who had the bigger definition in the muscles, who had more box office success, who kills more people, who kills more people creatively, who has bigger knives, who has bigger guns,” Schwarzenegger told Jimmy Kimmel.
“In the end I started running around with guns that were only mounted on helicopters or on tanks. It was crazy. It was all out war.”
In addition, Arnold gave out some of the details as to what had taken place.
“I read the script, and it was a piece of s—. Let’s be honest. I say to myself, I’m not going to do this movie. Then they went to Sly, and Sly called me, have they ever talked to you about doing this movie? And I said, yes, I was thinking about doing it. This is a really brilliant idea, this movie. When he heard that, because he was in competition, he said, ‘Whatever it takes, I’ll do the movie.’ And of course the movie went major into the toilet.”
Arnold pulled off quite a prank. While on the flip side, Stallone was livid.
Sylvester Stallone Admitted That Arnold Schwarzenegger Truly Fooled Him
Sylvester Stallone also deserves lots of credit. The actor didn't shy away from the rumor either, and admitted he and Arnold loathed each other during their rivalry. Things especially took a turn after Stallone agreed to work on the 1993 comedy, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.
"We truly, truly loathed each other." He continues, "He's quite clever. He goes around town saying, 'I can't wait to do this film.' I go to my agent, 'Get that thing away from him. Get people options on me.' I got it and I said, 'What a piece of s--- this is.' He goes, 'Ha ha ha!' At least I wasn't pregnant in a film, Arnold. We're even."
Stallone went on to reveal that he realized it was all a prank during the making of the film.
"That's one of those things that you go, 'Why am I in this?' There's a scene they say, 'Would you mind wearing diapers?' I'm going to kill Arnold. I am going to find him and track him."
He continues, "Once I got it, I realized, 'I'm in such a turkey and it's not even Thanksgiving — it's not even Thanksgiving, folks.'"
A tough moment for Stallone, but to his credit, he was able to keep positive years later looking back.

Released in 1992, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot was a dud at the box office, bringing in $70 million. The number isn't that bad compared to the reviews, which were pretty awful. Rotten Tomatoes rated the film with an approval rating of 14%.
Critics wrote, "It is moronic beyond comprehension, an exercise in desperation during which even Sylvester Stallone, a repository of self-confidence, seems to be disheartened." Yikes...
Another reviewer writes, "Gag. Stallone's character should have been shot by overbearing Getty Mom."
It was a tough project for Stallone and one he wanted to forget about very quickly.
