However, according to Plaza, there wasn't much chit-chat between herself and the acting legend. De Niro was typically on-set for his scene, and then he'd be off.

Plaza recalls, "I didn’t really have a relationship with him off camera because he’s him. I didn’t have time to get to know him, he shows up in a puff of smoke and there’s no chatting at the water cooler. "

Aubrey Plaza isn't only famous for her work on television and film. She also had a big fanbase, thanks to her awkward interviews. According to Plaza, she just can't help herself during these awkward instances. In truth, the idea of an interview in general is something that makes her uncomfortable to begin with.

“I think it’s hilarious that people know me from my talk show appearances and not my actual work,” she says alongside Independent.

“I just think that they’re silly, and the format makes me uncomfortable on so many levels, so my way of dealing with it is to just play into that. But I think there is an element of me unconsciously giving people what they want."

"You’re weird on talk shows and then people expect that again and then you get caught in this trap. It’s funny because I’m very nervous before I go on. I don’t have this elaborate performance ready; I’m literally just trying to be normal. But I can’t do it.”
