In February 2021, Michelle lost her brother, Devon. Details of his death have not been released by his family. Michelle did, however, post a loving tribute to him on her Instagram page the day after he passed away. "Yesterday morning my best friend became an angel," she wrote in the caption. "You are the best man I have ever known. Thank you for showing me how to live every second of your life to the complete fullest. Thank you for being the best big brother a sister could ever ask for. I love you with all of my heart forever. To the moon and back broski."
6 Ava Michelle Got A Tattoo With Her Mom
In honor of her late brother, Michelle and her mom decided to get tattoos together. She posted a short video on her Instagram page in part of a recap of her 2021 in which she and her mom are in their car, and they are announcing the fact that they are about to get tattoos "for Devon, only Devon we would do this for because I never had this thought and I never thought you would get a tattoo in your life," she said to her mom. Her mom concurred that normally she would never get a tattoo, but she was only doing it for her late son.

Michelle has been spending time working on her clothing brand, Identified Clothing, that she created with her mom and brother Devon. According to the clothing brand's website, the three members of the family "wanted to create a line of loungewear that not only promotes inclusivity and individuality but also provides a platform to speak and encourage conversations on many important topics." Also according to the brand's website, "Devon passed away the night the name of the brand was established."
4 Ava Michelle Began Dating Bryan Pearn
In 2021, Michelle began dating filmmaker and model, Bryan Pearn. She went on a trip with him to see the snow in Lake Arrowhead, California over the holidays and the two seemed to enjoy the mini-vacation together. In September 2021, Michelle posted a photo dump of her with Pearn with a caption that read "happy with you anywhere." He seems to have been her date at Chloe East's wedding in August, as there is a photo of the two there on her Instagram page. In November, Michelle posted a birthday tribute to Pearn with a caption that read "So grateful for who you are and all that you have brought into my life. Michelle has been working on a few brand partnerships over the years including Olay and Fashion Nova.
