She's the gorgeous mini-me daughter of Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon and former husband Ryan Phillippe, who, at just 22, is already fielding modeling contracts from major brands and celebrities while managing her college studies. Ava Phillippe has been working hard to build up her career in the fashion industry while completing her time at UC Berkeley - rapidly building up an Instagram following of over 1 million fans (and also regularly appearing on her mom Reese's very active account).
Ava has often spoken in interviews about her thoughts on entering into the acting world, and has considered following her famous mother's footsteps. Yet it appears that, for now, she has made modelling her priority. So how is she doing career-wise at this time? And which brands has she been working with? Read on to find out.
6 Ava Phillippe Has Been Working Hard To Build Her Profile
Even when you're a celebrity child, stepping into the competitive world of modeling isn't necessarily easy. Ava has worked hard, however, to enter into the industry by carefully cultivating her online image. Quite rapidly, she has amassed over 996,000 Instagram followers, which has certainly increased her profile and helped to attract modeling gigs. On her page, Ava describes herself as a 'virgo mom friend', and regularly posts not only stunning selfies but also relatable memes.
5 Ava Phillippe Is Careful To Use Her Platform Consciously
With great followers comes great responsibility, and Ava appears keenly aware that what she says online can have big repercussions - not only for her career. Like her mom, Ava is keen to promote kindness online, and this commitment has only made her an even more attractive prospect for clients.
Every time she posts, she asks herself 'What is that going to mean to somebody else, what does it mean to me? Is this helpful? Is it important? Is it charitable? Is it something I want the world to see from me?"
"I do have a platform of some sort, for sure, and I want to be conscious of what I am posting. I might not always get it right but I'm always going to try my best to put good out there."
"Treat people with kindness and do the best you can and understand that [you having] problems doesn't mean anybody else doesn't have problems, it doesn't mean they're bigger or smaller, they're not to be compared." She added, "We've all got stuff we're dealing with and to be humble and gracious about that is just so important."
4 Ava Phillippe Says Her Parents Have Never Pushed Her Into Either Modelling Or Acting
In an interview, Ava made clear that her parents have not pressured her into any particular career:
"My parents have always encouraged me to choose the path that's right for me and, you know, guide me along the way to make better choices than I might make," she explained. "I'm so grateful for that. That is such a privilege to have parents that support you in that way and to want you to be who you truly are meant to be. So I think I'm trying to do that."
3 But, For The Meantime, Ava Phillippe Hasn't Ruled Out Acting
Ava also said that she hasn't completely moved away from the prospect of acting, stating "I don't see it out of the question, certainly"—but is still committed to modeling and broadening her horizons.
"I'm not so sure on where I'm going yet. That's kind of what I'm trying to figure out in this stage of my life, what's the right fit for me and what's going to do the best for others within that context, and what can I be most impactful with."
"It's important not to take everything personally, especially socially. We can get wrapped up in our heads that everything is about us in some way or another, in hurtful ways, in helpful ways and everything in between. But I really think the lesson I'm learning is, let people be who they are and do your best with what you know."
2 Ava Phillippe Scored A Big Contract With Her Brother
Together with her brother, Deacon, Ava signed perhaps her biggest contract to date: modeling for The Halls of Ivy, Beyonce's clothing brand with Adidas. Writing on Instagram, Ava said: 'No words could do it justice, but I’ll try: this was a dream of an invitation from the legend that is Beyonce & her first-class team of creatives. Their dedication to every detail & genuine kindness on set was so special to witness. This was a truly awesome experience made even better having my brother by my side. A big thank you to We Are Ivy Park & everyone involved with this project for making it all so memorable & fun. Oh, and of course, a million thanks to Queen!'

Back in 2018, Ava also modelled alongside her mom Reese in a Valentine's Day-themed shoot for Witherspoon's brand Draper James's Spring collection, and fashion brand Rodarte.
