A film called Avatar was first released back in 2009 and fans have been awaiting a sequel ever since. The next film is set to finally come out at the end of 2021, but for now, fans are left rewatching the original film. It was a combination of an exceptional cast with a unique storyline that made it so popular in the first place.

10 Laz Alonso (Tsu'tey)
Laz Alonso played the role of Tsu'tey in the film, who was the best warrior among these indigenous people. This actor has watched as his career has soared since the release of this film as he now has played roles in projects such as The Boys, L.A.'s Finest, and The Mysteries of Laura. This film helped him jumpstart his career after being cast in only minor roles prior to this acting gig.
9 Wes Studi (Eytukan)
Wes Studi is a Cherokee-American actor who was cast in the role of Eytukan in this film and was the leader of the Omaticaya Clan. He might be 72 years old, but this hasn't slowed him down as he has continued to act in projects such as Rolling Thunder and Hostiles. Studi now focuses more on his part in promoting his Native American culture as well as speaking up on issues that affect them.
8 CCH Pounder (Mo'at)
CCH Pounder played the role of Mo'at in this film, but her acting career began back in 1979. She has continued on this path and even has parts in the next few Avatar films set to come out in the coming years. Fans have recently watched her in shows such as Sons of Anarchy and NCIS: New Orleans, but she also works to bring awareness to the diseases killing those in South Africa.
7 Joel David Moore (Norm Spellman)
Joel David Moore was cast as Norm Spellman in this film, and he will continue in the role into the sequels. He has continued to act, but his presence in this career seems to have died down following a really busy 2012.
He has started to dive more into personal creations, as well as directing and producing various works. Moore also plays a hand in a nonprofit organization called Dollar For who he is constantly working to promote as they help those in medical debt.
6 Giovanni Ribisi (Parker Selfridge)
Parker Selfridge was played by a man named Giovanni Ribisi and fans probably recognize him from his more recent roles in Ted and Sneaky Pete. Fans of his work began to see him in fewer projects following 2015 and many speculate this has to do with his divorce from Agyness Deyn in 2015, as well as the birth of his twins with Emily Ward in 2018. He is slated to be in the Avatar sequels so fans are looking forward to seeing him back in action with the release of these films.
5 Michelle Rodriguez (Trudy Chacón)
Michelle Rodriguez was cast as the pilot named Trudy Chacon in this film who was killed off toward the end of the first film. She has jumped feet first into her acting career following its release with some of her more notable roles being Smurfs: The Lost Village and a member of the Fast & Furious franchise. She spends most of her time on set or taking fancy vacations all over the world as her net worth now rests at $30 million.
4 Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch)
Stephen Lang was famous well before his role as Colonel Miles Quaritch in this film. He has been acting since 1981 and still averages around four projects per year at 68 years old.

2 Zoe Saldana (Neytiri)
Many fail to realize that Neytiri was played by none other than Zoe Saldana, who is now more famously known as Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy in the MCU. She did marry an artist in 2013 named Marco Perego and she also recently discovered she suffers from Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
1 Sam Worthington (Jake Sully)
The star of the entire film was Sam Worthington as he played the role of Jake Sully, a paraplegic who defects from the military to join the Na'vi race. He has continued in his acting career but is more choosy in his roles compared to others on this list. A few of his more recent projects include Fractured, The Shack, and Everest. He spends most of his time running a production company called Full Clip Productions, which has also released a few graphic novels.
