The Bachelor is currently in its 29th season, but fans have learned that the promise of a lasting engagement is slim. As of this writing, there are only 5 Bachelor leads who are currently still with the person that they chose during their finales. (Here's hoping the current Bachelor, Grant Ellis, makes that six).
So, it's always great to hear that a Bachelor couple is taking the next step in their romance after their televised proposals. As Season 28's Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson are taking things slow following his Dancing With the Stars win, former season's Bachelor Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar have announced plans to wed this year.

The Bachelor Season 27's Zach Shallcross And Kaity Biggar Are Getting Married This Year
Bachelor Nation fans are happy to hear that Season 27's Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar have set a wedding date! The couple, who have been engaged since Zach's season finale in March 2023, have been going strong ever since, and fans have been highly anticipating news of their future nuptials.
During a March interview with the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Kaity confirmed that she and Zach are going to marry this year, but kept most of their wedding details a top secret.
"Life is great. Zach and I decided we’re gonna get married this year. No, I’m not telling you the date. But yeah, we’re so excited," Kaity shared.
In her interview, Kaity did reveal that the couple would not have an extravagant ceremony after being quoted "$70,000 to $80,000." She told that Zach that they can "just go to city hall" to make it official, and later down the road, have a celebration with family and friends.
"He honestly lit up when I said that. Because it wasn't his idea. He's like, 'If you want the big wedding, we'll do it. If you want the small wedding, whatever you want.' And I was like, 'This is what I want,' and he's like, 'Hell yeah,'" she shared.
On Instagram, Kaity also confirmed that she and Zach will be tying the knot this year. She shared a video montage of their journey towards marriage, which included clips from their time on The Bachelor.
"OFFICALLY have the date we are getting married!! 💍 📅 🤍," she captioned her video.

Kaity Revealed She Wants To Have Kids Right After Their Wedding
The reality TV couple are moving forward at just the right pace, with Kaity detailing on the aforementioned podcast that as soon as the two wed, she'll have babies on the brain.
"We're thinking like not that you're asking, but we're thinking, like a year and a half from now, have a little baby because I'm maternal and I can't wait to have kids," she said.

Kaity was elated with how their romance has played out, also telling the host, "I'm just loving this stage in our relationship and where we are in life that I'm just soaking it all in," she added. "We're traveling so much and I just love that man to death."
Zach appeared on The Almost Famous podcast in January where he spoke about their very rare, successful reality TV romance. "The past two years have been unbelievable. Kait and I, right after the show pretty much, we went back to what we knew and what we loved, and focused on each other."
He continued, "We've just been trucking along, and moved in together, got our first puppy ... were just living puppy-parent lives and planning our future."
Right after the show, Zach and Kaity moved in together in Austin, Texas, with the location working out perfectly as Kaity was already working in Austin. How perfect was that?

Zach And Kaity Have Plans To Move Out Of Austin, Texas
Kaity and Zach have been calling Austin home for some time now, with the latter detailing on The Almost Famous podcast that they moved in together just three months after The Bachelor concluded. He also shared that it made sense to save money on a house rather than dish thousands on a wedding.
Zach shared that after their wedding planner told them they would end up spending a lot more on their wedding than their budget, he told the hosts, "Kait and I, we pondered on it for a week, and we were like, it does not feel good to just go so into this venue when we already established what our priorities are which is buying a house and not a down payment for one day."
Zach also mentioned that he and Kaity are planning to "elope very soon."
While Kaity was speaking on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, she revealed that she and Zach don't plan on living the rest of their lives in Austin. Although they plan on purchasing a home in the Texas city later in the year, she's hoping that she can be closer to her family in Canada.
"[We'll] see where life takes us. We're not married to Austin for the rest of our lives... I was thinking of us growing a family, I'd be closer to home in Canada [from North Carolina]. It's more of an easier drive for my family. So you know, I'm all over the place. And that's OK to be all over the place," she said.
