While some NFL players are on the verge of losing their jobs, Drew Brees' career has been pretty successful. He is one of the NFL stars that live like a king.
It is no secret that rich and famous sports stars tend to have good-looking wives, which is the case with Brees. The couple has a beautiful family.
Drew Brees' son, Baylen Robert, took special care of him alongside his siblings while the NFL star recovered from several injuries.
Brees describes Baylen, Rylen, Bowen, and Callen as the best medical team. The former New Orleans Saints quarterback is lucky to have four lovely children that are happy to help him with the recovery process. The athlete uploaded a pic in which Baylen uses a faux stethoscope on his dad's chest to make sure he's okay. Let's take a look at the story of Brees' injury and the bright future ahead of his son Baylen Robert.
NFL Injuries
Drew Brees left the game against the San Francisco 49ers after the first half of play. He approached the coaching staff after he was having trouble breathing during the game. Brees decided that he could not remain effective, so he was replaced by backup Jameis Winston for the remainder of the match.
His subsequent examination revealed rib fractures and a partially collapsed lung. Doctors initially ruled him out for several weeks. He later sent his CT scans to additional specialists for a second opinion to more accurately determine the extent of his injuries.
After his examination following the San Francisco game, Brees was diagnosed with three rib fractures on his left side and two more fractured ribs on his right side. The injuries were apparent on a CT scan that was performed on November 16, 2020.
Doctors believed that the three rib fractures on the left side occurred in the previous game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers one week earlier. Although Brees was examined with X-rays, the left side rib fractures did not show up at that time.
The two broken ribs on the right side are believed to have occurred during the most recent game versus the 49ers. Doctors speculated that the right side rib fracture punctured Brees' organ, causing a partially collapsed lung.
Passionate About Sports
Both Drew's parents had an athletic background: his mother was a former athlete in three sports in high school while his dad played basketball for the Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team. His maternal uncle was also an all-American starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns football team.
Brees played tackle football in high school on the football team at St. Andrew's Episcopal School. Coincidentally he was teammates with Ben McKenzie.
In high school, Brees was a varsity letterman in football, baseball, and basketball. He considered playing baseball in college rather than football. In the 11th grade, Drew blew out his knee making college recruiters take off. He was later selected as Texas High School's 5a most valuable offensive player after overcoming the ACL tear.
Drew Brees received only two college offers, Purdue and Kentucky. He chose Purdue because of its highly rated academics. In 2001, he graduated with a degree in industrial management.
Everything About Baylen Brees
Drew Brees is an unmatched quarterback who has played in the National Football League for 20 seasons. He had been a member of the New Orleans Saints for most of his career, ending in 2021. It's undeniable the American gridiron football quarterback is a Legend! So could his oldest son be following in his footsteps?
Baylen's mother is Brittany Dudchenko. She and Drew are reportedly college sweethearts, and the two are blessed with four children. Baylen is the older brother of Rylen, Bowen, and Callen. All the children were born in New Orleans and are currently being raised there.
After the birth of Rylan, Drew had a vasectomy claiming that he could recover while looking after his kids. An iconic picture of Drew and his eldest son Baylen was taken to be the cover of Sports Illustrated.
The two coincidentally share their birth date. From a young age, Baylen was taken to his father's game. Indeed, he was taken to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl while he was just three weeks old.
The 12-year-old kid is nothing like his father as he seems to be more into acting and designing with little interest in sports. Baylen hasn't gained a Wikipedia page as he is just a celebrity boy who has yet to start his professional life. Moreover, Baylen does not use social media.
The former New Orleans Saints quarterback beamingly spoke about his son's recent exploits as an artist and actor. He said, "Baylen has become friends with the guy who designs all my shoes for my cause, my cleats, Marcus Rivero." He then added, "They've actually FaceTime together, and he's given him some tips. We've got the whole airbrush setup at home. He got that for Christmas, so he's been making cleats now for guys on the team."
Taysom Hill and Teddy Bridgewater, who were also quarterbacks, received custom cleats from Baylen. He is a sports lover and is also athletic. His favorite sport to play seems to be basketball at the moment. Baylen is fortunate to be part of the adorable family.
