A female deckhand on a super yacht is few and far between, but the Below Deck franchise has done a great job hiring women in all positions.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 will follow a semi-new batch of crew members aboard the Katina—a mega yacht with an elevator—with Captain Jason Chambers returning at its helm. Besides Captain Jason, Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph and deckhand Harry Van Vliet return to the reality TV show.

One new crew member aboard the Katina is lone female deckhand Adair Werley. Hailing from the U.S., Adair doesn't have as much experience on super yachts, but she's always "on a boat somewhere" as her Instagram bio states.

Below Deck Down Under is back for a brand-new season and a new crew aboard the Katina. While the franchise spinoff's first two seasons sailed around Australia, Season 3 will see the crew and their guests sail around the East African country, the Seychelles.

One of the youngest crew members on board is the lone female deckhand and stew, Adair Werley. According to her Bravo bio, Adair is from the small city of Buford, Georgia. She was born on April 14, 2000, making her 24-years-old when the season was filmed. As one of the youngest people working on the mega yacht, Adair also has the least experience. Her Bravo bio notes that she only has 2 years of experience in the yachting industry.

Adair's astrological sign is Aries. According to Astro Talk, Aries' are "known for their natural-born leadership skills and tireless work ethic."

Hopefully, Adair's lack of experience doesn't cause concern for her bosun and two other deckhands. It's assumed that she will be taking notes from her co-workers who have years of experience, and see herself improving after each charter.

Adair will be working closely with newcomer, bosun Wihan Du Toit, who has 9 years of yachting experience, as well as returning deckhand, Harry. Deckhand Johnny Arvanitis, who is also new to the Bravo series, has been working on yachts for 9 years.

As a stew, she will work under the watchful eye of chief stew Lara Rigby (who replaces Aesha Scott) and a team of two other stewardesses, Brianna Duffield and Marina Marcondes de Barros.

Fans Can Follow Adair @adairwerley

Fans can follow Adair on Instagram, where she boasts over 5,000 followers. Her Instagram is filled with photos of her many travels to various beach locations around the world, spending time with her friends, and her love of fishing.

Adair's Instagram bio states that she's "on a boat somewhere" and that's very true when looking at her profile. Many of her images see the new Season 3 deckhand on a boat, whether that's doing a hand stand or taking glam shots with her gal pals.

She's also an avid fisher. And, by the looks of it, Adair has a lot of experience. The deckhand has caught some very big fish, with most of her images showing her posing with her impressive catches in Georgia, fishing on Saint Simons Island.

In a teaser for the first episode, viewers get to know about Adair:

"Coming from Georgia boating, scrapping boats and the muck, I had no idea that the industry really existed until I was offered my first job."

In a confessional, Adair shared that she "thought I was going to get kidnapped" when she was offered her first boating job. "I met this amazing couple, and they said, 'Our bosses own a $20 million yacht, and you should go work on it.' And, I'm like, 'You're gonna kidnap me.'" Thankfully, it was the real deal with Adair sharing that she "loves her job."

Adair shared that her special skill is sewing. "I have taken on sewing in the last year. I’ve always been very crafty with a love of fashion. I’m now learning to sew my own clothes."

In March 2024, Adair shared a carousel of images in South Africa, which seems to suggest she may have stayed in Africa after Below Deck Down Under wrapped up filming. Her photos show her fishing in Cape Point in Cape Town, South Africa, and showing off her catches. Another photo shows Adair preparing the fish she caught. "We Deliver Fresh!," she captioned her Instagram post.

Adair clearly has a love of being out in the open waters, which is perfect for someone working on the deck. In her Bravo bio, she shared that "South Africa was the most amazing place I have ever traveled. Every part was picture perfect," which hopefully means that she became a great asset to the crew on the Katina.

The Season 3 trailer sees a few heads of departments butting heads, including Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph getting into intense confrontations with both chief stew, Lara, and her sous chef, Anthony Bird. Yes, this season will feature the Below Deck franchise's first-ever sous chef!

The trailer also sees Adair in a few stressful situations. Holding her hands to her head, she states in one scene, "Like you just don't be a b****, and not know it." In another scene, Adair and steward Brianna Duffield (who also hails from the U.S.) have trouble when the tender ends up getting beached.

Adair isn't seen in any other conflict in the Season 3 trailer after that. The trailer seems to focus on the three department heads—the chef, chief stew, and bosun—finding themselves in intense situations. In fact, the trailer ends with Captain Jason firing someone from the crew.

It doesn't seem likely that Adair is the one to get the boot. However, knowing that crew members do have a habit of getting frustrated with one another after working together for several charters, it won't be surprising to see Adair having to defend herself here or there.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 airs on Monday, Feb. 3 at 8pm ET on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
