As the ninth season of Bravo's reality show wraps up on September 23, let's have a look at the boat love stories that we've seen on 'Below Deck Med' so far and whether they stood the test of time.

Below Deck Med bosun Malia White was caught in a love triangle in the second season of the reality TV show, set in Croatia. At the time, Malia was still a deckhand and was torn between chef Adam Glick and fellow deckhand Wes Walton.

While on the Sirocco, Malia chose Wes and the two continued their romance after the charter season ended, traveling to Wes's native South Africa for a beautiful trip in August 2017, but the pair later broke up.

Malia returned to Below Deck Med in Season 5, set aboard the Wellington sailing off the Spanish coast.

In the 2020 installment of the reality show, it was revealed that Malia had met someone while working on another boat during her time off the air. The mystery man was British chef Tom Checketts, and Malia brought him onto the show when Captain Sandy Yawn fired chef Kiko Lorran mid-season.

Despite spending time on the boat together, the relationship between Malia and Tom didn't last very long. After the fifth season ended, the two split up, with Malia claiming Tom had been cheating on her with someone who worked on his next boat.

After breaking up with Tom, it seems that Malia might have found a steadier relationship with a crew member of Below Deck Med who was not featured on the show.

The bosun and the boat's engineer, Jake Baker fell for one another offscreen during the sixth season of the show. The pair seemed to be still going strong as their Instagram pages are filled with pictures together, including of them during a trip to Florida in February 2022. But as of 2024, the couple is no longer together.

On the fourth season of Below Deck Med, romance blossomed between second stew Aesha Scott and deckhand Jack Stirrup.

Once the charter season was over, however, Jack went back to the UK where communication with Aesha wasn't great.

During the Bravo After Show in October 2019, Jack explained that when he got home to England, communication was strained.

"I thought it was a bit of a forced situation. It wasn't reality. I thought about it all and called it a day."

On the same show, Aesha said that, after Jack had asked her to come to London, she saw on his social media that he brought another woman to a wedding, and that woman turned out to be his girlfriend.

"Next thing I know, I’m blocked off everything and he's never spoken to me again."

After their short-lived romance ended, Jack welcomed a child with his girlfriend. As for Aesha, she is engaged to Scotty Dobbo, who she has been dating since 2020.

Deckhand Rob and third stew Jessica's relationship on the fifth season of 'Below Deck Med' wasn't the healthiest romance.

After Rob declared his love for Jessica, he began to act off shortly afterwards, leaving the stew wondering the reason behind this on-off between them. After the season ended, the two traveled to Bali together, but called it quits not long after that, as Jessica explained on the Bravo After Show.

"It didn't end on the best note, and we're still not in the best place."

"It just keeps seeming to build, my disappointment for somebody that I really, truly cared about and loved and thought that I was gonna marry and spend the rest of my life with," Jessica said. "So, to go from that to just continually finding out things new every single day is something that’s really hard for me and disappointing."

João Franco and Brooke Laughton started dating during the third season of 'Below Deck Med' but didn't continue very long after they left the boat.

João claimed that Brooke cheated on him, but she rejected the accusations and said she started dating another man after she and Franco had broken up. As per her Instagram, Brooke got engaged in July 2021 during a trip to Italy, but later called off the engagement. João is currently in a relationship with Domi Tiesi.

Season 3 of Bravo's reality TV also saw chief stew Hannah Ferrier and bosun Conrad Empson having a whirlwind, if short, romance.

Their relationship was called out by Captain Sandy Yawn and ended shortly afterward due to a fight. They decided to stay friends and moved on with other people.

In 2018, Hannah met Josh Roberts and the pair welcomed a daughter in 2020, tying the knot the following year.

As for Conrad, he is in a relationship with Hannah Roberts and the two have a daughter.
