WandaVision spoilers below!

It's done. WandaVision has come to an end, and unlike hundreds of online reports teasing Doctor Strange's surprise cameo, the finale didn't have one. It did however reveal that Wanda Maximoff is more powerful than Doctor Strange, and fans are very much looking forward to seeing how that unfolds.

The Sherlock Holmes actor made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier today. Cumberbatch addressed his character's cameo rumors in the WandaVision finale, and teased his friend from work; Tom Holland, who is famous for casually dropping spoiler bombs.

Benedict Cumberbatch Almost Pulled A Tom Holland!

The actor and talk show host Jimmy Fallon did their best to stray away from revealing too much, to fans who hadn't watched the show yet. Cumberbatch did his best to conceal his reply, and at one point in the interview, gave up.

Fallon asked the actor what he thought of the Internet speculation surrounding his character's surprise cameo in the miniseries.

The actor scrambled for answers, and went on to say, "I can feel the Tom Holland in me coming out here."

"He's a champ!" declared Fallon.

The actor has been portraying Doctor Strange in the MCU since 2016, and with theories about his possible connection to Wanda's world in Westview surfacing, Marvel fans were certain a cameo was in order.

The actor apologized for having disappointed fans. "If it didn't happen...then I'm sorry about that."

He went on to mislead fans who hadn't watched the finale yet, adding "If it did, hell, what a lot to look forward to."

"But if it didn't...I don't know why," Cumberbatch concluded.

The actor is currently filming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong and Rachel McAdams among others in London.

Although there wasn't any big cameo from the Sorcerer Supreme in WandaVision, the upcoming film will set the foundation for the rest of MCU's Phase 4.

There's not much that has been said about the plot yet, but Dr. Strange will reportedly unleash an unspeakable evil as he faces a friend-turned-enemy aka Karl Mordo. Portrayed by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mordo is a former Master of the Mystic Arts and mentor-turned-enemy of Dr. Stephen Strange who is on a hunt to find other sorcerers.

Assuming Wanda and Doctor Strange are on the same side, there's no reason to worry about them!
