There are some cast members in the Real Housewives franchise who seemed like they would stay forever, and Bethenny Frankel was definitely one of them. Fans learned a lot about Bethenny's life during her seasons, from her fight with Carole Radziwill to her divorce from Jason Hoppy, and she remained tough and fierce while seeming like a great friend, parent, and businesswoman.

There's another reason why Bethenny has gotten fans talking recently. Let's take a look.

Bethenny's Net Worth

Fans wish Bethenny would return to RHONY, but there's another reason why people are talking about the star: fans think that she lost some of her net worth.

Forbes put Bethenny on their "Highest-Paid Women in Entertainment" list and people wonder how much Bethenny was actually paid when SkinnyGirl was sold.

According to E! News, people say that Bethenny's net worth decreased by $9.1 9 million because Forbes Forbes said that Bethenny was given $100 million when she sold Skinnygirl, and documents then explained that she could have been paid $8.1 million.

Forbes reported that Beam Global and Bethenny said they had to keep things private, so no one is sure of the numbers. The Skinnygirl deal was massive news, which makes sense, since Bethenny did such a great job creating and building up her company.

Getting $8.1 million from a sale is definitely amazing and impressive, but the real question is whether that's true. The publication said that a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission report said Beam Global bought Skinnygirl for $8.1 million... but Forbes said that's not the case. A financial analyst, R.J. Hottovy, explained to Forbes, "The $8.1 million is just the amount of intangible assets purchased in the Skinnygirl transaction, essentially the amount Beam paid for the Skinnygirl brand rights—not the total purchase price." That does make sense and suggests that Bethenny made a fortune here.

Bethenny explained that she got so busy that selling some of Skinnygirl made sense. Bethenny talked about the sale in an episode of The Real Housewives Of New York City and said, "I’m open now to moving some pieces around on the board so I can let go of the current stress of taking on too much because I’m going to solve this problem. This will get resolved. I’m not looking to exit, I’m just looking for ways to take some pressure off.”

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Bethenny is worth $70 million. The publication reported that when people began questioning how much Skinnygirl was sold for, she said it was more than $8.1 million. She said, "Come on. That it could be the fastest-growing booze brand on the market and to have sold for that little is just preposterous. I'm going to be paying a hell of a lot more than $8.1 million in taxes."

Bethenny's Career

According to Today.com, Bethenny didn't want to talk about the amount of money that she got for the deal. She said, "The number (that Skinnygirl cocktails sold for) is irrelevant to me. The least interesting thing about me is how much money I have. But when my fans are questioning me, wondering whether I said it was (sold for) ten times more than it actually was, I'm left to defend myself."

Fans can't help but be curious, as they have seen Bethenny grow Skinnygirl while watching RHONY, and she always seemed so inspiring. Bethenny's career is truly the story of someone who has worked incredibly hard and believed in herself and known that it would all work out. Fans saw her working hard at the office or sitting in meetings, and she always seemed passionate and like she really loved what she was doing.

Anyone curious about Bethenny's business life can watch her new reality series The Big Shot With Bethenny as she looks to hire someone for her empire.

As Bethenny explained to Marie Claire, her reality shows are always watchable because she can be fully herself. She said, “I wasn’t trying to show anybody who I wanted them to think I was. People can’t help but show how rich they are, then they get arrested. Show how amazing their relationship is, then there’s infidelity. Show how much smarter they are than somebody else, then their business shuts down. I mean, I just was honest about exactly who I was and where I was in the moment.”
