Beyoncé has an insane work ethic in the studio. Clearly, her hard work has paid off, as the star is on top of the mountain in the music world, and that continues to be the case years later.

However, throughout her career, Beyoncé has run into a few speed bumps. Among them, was trouble alongside her father, Mathew Knowles. In 2011, things went south between the two, on a professional standpoint. After an audit took place, it was revealed that some of Beyoncé's funds were taken away, and Knowles was apparently behind the mishap.

Back in July of 2011, TMZ got extra information on why Mathew Knowles was let go of Beyoncé's team as her manager. According to the legal paper work issued by Knowles, he blamed his release on Live Nation Entertainment. Knowles stated that the group was trying to get a hold of Beyoncé's earnings, heading into her 2011 world tour.

TMZ wrote, "In the documents -- obtained by TMZ -- Mathew Knowles claims Live Nation Entertainment wanted desperately to sink its fangs into Beyoncé's 2011 world tour. According to the docs, Mathew claims Live Nation told Beyoncé that Mathew "had stolen money from Beyoncé on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to."

Knowles would further his claim, mentioning that the group had an agenda, given that Beyoncé hired her new manager from the company. However, it seems like Live Nation Entertainment did some extra work, in finding out where Beyoncé's funds were going.

Mathew Knowles Got Caught Stealing Funds From Beyoncé's Tour In An Audit

The report had some extra information. Knowles made another big claim, mentioning a law firm also took part in his firing, performing an audit to find which funds were missing. As it turns out, the lawsuit concluded that it was indeed Beyoncé's father who had taken the missing funds.

TMZ reported, "Mathew claims Live Nation was effective, because Beyoncé had her law firm conduct an audit, and the law firm concluded Mathew had indeed pilfered money from her. Beyoncé then fired him."

Ultimately, Mathew wanted to take Live Nation Entertainment to court, and examine how the audit determined that he was at fault.

"Mathew insists the theft accusations by Live Nation are false, and he wants the judge to give him the right to take depositions of various people at Live Nation, to determine just how they concluded he was a thief," TMZ concluded.

Despite all the claims, Beyoncé's team wisely decided to keep quiet about the matter. The singer would finally issue a statement, claiming that everything was okay between the two sides, and they were just parting ways on a business level.

It was clear that Bey was trying to create the least amount of controversy possible, following her dad's firing. She made it clear that the two were always going to be on good terms, despite the professional split.

“I’ve only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life, and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother [Tina Knowles] manage and own their own businesses. They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps," she said in her statement.

So how are things between the two these days? Well, they appear to be just fine, as Mathew took to Twitter in the summer of 2022, praising her daughter for her single, 'Break My Soul'.

He tweeted, "I want to take a moment to congratulate @Beyonce on the release of her latest single “Break My Soul.” I know how excited she is to share this new, upcoming album with the world."

"I also want to express how proud I am of her. Many of you know her as “Queen Beyoncé” or “Bey”—and to me, she will always be my daughter first and foremost. I love her dearly and she continues to astonish me each day not just by what she has accomplished, but by who she is as a human being."

Knowles concluded in his tweet, "Sometimes, I wonder how she would respond if we had a time machine and could show her past self when she was just getting started what she’d achieve and who she'd become. You are loved my daughter."

At the very least, the two were able to maintain a loving relationship.
