Sure, Brian Posehn may not be a household name like his 'The Big Bang Theory' castmates. But he did earn a place in fans' hearts with his portrayal of geologist Bert Kibbler.
While some say 'The Big Bang Theory' was the worst sitcom ever, fans would disagree. The show still has a huge following today, and that means people are still interested in what every character — including the minor ones — is up to nowadays.
After a fifteen-episode run spanning six years of 'Big Bang,' Brian went on to other projects. Though he didn't show up on Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons' new show, he has had some noteworthy items added to his resume in the last few years.
The Sacramento-born actor's first project after 'Big Bang' was actually on 'The Mandalorian,' if fans can believe it! Of course, his role was only as "Speeder Pilot," but what a thing to add to his IMDb listing!
And the thing is, Brian hasn't slowed down since; he's kept plenty busy with more acting projects. Only, they probably aren't the gigs fans might expect from Bert the geologist. Though, it is worth noting that Brian didn't stop working on other projects while he was on 'The Big Bang Theory,' either. So maybe the sitcom was more of a stopping point than a career highlight.
Case in point? Posehn's next project was voicing a character on the show 'Steven Universe,' something he stuck with for over a six-year span. Some of that time coincided with his acting on 'Big Bang Theory.'
Then, starting in 2020, Brian began working on 'Top Secret Videos,' a TV series where he plays a character that shares his name. Fans already know that Brian adds comedic value to his work, so the show is probably a perfect fit for the actor.
In fact, Posehn is also a stand-up comic, so his career trajectory makes sense. He's also gotten involved in other cartoon projects, plus voiced some video game characters.
Brian might not be buying (and selling) million-dollar mansions like his former co-star Kunal Nayyar, but the actor is doing pretty well for himself. He has over 60,000 followers on Instagram alone, which isn't bad for a married father of one who makes jokes about farts and other off-color topics.
Not all of his content is as kid-friendly as 'Steven Universe' or 'Star vs. the Forces of Evil' these days, but he does have a good time with his kid and his wife during his off-hours.
Apart from quarantining at home with his family lately, Posehn's also been hanging out with his dogs, and watching lots of movies. That is, when he's not busy acting!
