Big Brother season 26 houseguest, Tucker Des Lauriers quickly became a fan-favorite during Big Brother's newest season, but what was Tucker's life like before entering the Big Brother house? In BB26, Tucker is recognized for his entertaining gameplay and not being afraid to make the big moves in the game. The Massachusetts-native may have started the season by playing a quiet game, but he soon proved he was one of the strongest houseguests of BB26 by week two, when he convinced the house to eliminate Lisa Weintraub over controversial houseguest Angela Murray.

Tucker's Big Brother game, paired with Angela's shocking outbursts, has made BB26 one of the best seasons of the reality tv show in recent years. Tucker has proven himself as a great Big Brother competitor, and his life before BB26 was nearly as exciting.

What BB26's Tucker Did For Work Before Big Brother

Before Big Brother, Tucker worked as a marketing and sales executive at a protein bar company, but he is a self-proclaimed man of many hats. During high school, Tucker was one of the top athletes, captain of both the football and wrestling teams. Although he was recruited to continue wrestling at the university level, Tucker suffered several injuries during his senior year of high school from football games and a wrestling match.

"I decided to not wrestle, so I could focus on my studies in Television and Film production, while still modeling and acting," Tucker shared in a 2018 interview with Medium.

Tucker's most recognized profession outside now being a Big Brother reality TV star is his work as a model. But Tucker doesn't want to be seen as just any ol' "ditzy" model, though, he's proving he has the brains and the brawn to win Big Brother season 26.

How Big Brother's Tucker Became A Model

Becoming a successful model isn't an easy accomplishment and takes a lot of hard work and dedication.

For BB26's Tucker, modeling sort of "fell into his lap."

"My dad always took pictures of my brothers and I growing up. Every Father’s Day my mom would take all my dads pictures from the year and make a giant collage and frame it and hang it up in our house. So having my picture taken and out on display was something I was super used to."

While on vacation in Provincetown, Massachusetts with his dad and brothers, a teenaged Tucker was approached by Bruce Weber’s scouts for Abercrombie.

"They took some pictures of me and my brother Eric, a few months later Bruce and his entire team were in my house setting up shop to shoot us for Kids Wear International. We got a 28 page spread." Tucker's modeling career began with published photos in one of the largest publications for kids fashion in the world.

"A few months later, I asked my dad if that was a real job..."

After Tucker's first modeling experience, he knew this was what he was supposed to be doing with his life, and his father took him to some agencies in Boston, where he ultimately signed with Dynasty Models with Gin and Joe. Tucker quickly started booking more jobs, moved to New York City and has been working as a model ever since.

According to his Instagram, Tucker is currently signed with DT Model Management and Soul Artist Management.

While Tucker's fame is definitely expanding with his appearance and success on Big Brother, he was already making moves in some pretty big Hollywood circles. In 2014, the BB houseguest found himself as a guest at Paris Hilton's Fourth of July party.

"As people say, it's all about connections and who you know," Tucker explained in a 2014 interview with Blue Harvest Beat. "My father told me this when I young and told me that networking is the key and to remember everyone’s name and contact information so I always try to do that and I’ve made some great connections and one of my friends was part of the party planning and got my name on the list!"

In addition to modeling, Tucker is an accomplished artist, actor and aspiring screenwriter.

"One of my favorite hobbies is painting. My whole apartment is covered in my creations. I’ve been painting since I was in kindergarten and sold my first piece of art in middle school."

BB26's Tucker has a connection to Bravo's Vanderpump Rules. In an Instagram post from September 2023, Tucker refers to Vanderpump Rules' Kyle Chan as one of his best friends.

Tucker Changed The Game In Big Brother Season 26

The common theme in recent seasons of Big Brother has been to play a "safe and scared game." BB fans have grown tired of the large alliance, vote with the house and predictive gameplay season after season. But BB26 has shaken things up in all the best ways. Tucker Des Lauriers has revived what it means to play Big Brother.

Whether you see Tucker's BB26 gameplay as reckless and foolish or legendary and iconic, one thing the 30-year-old has done is provide an exciting buzz around the reality show and cemented himself as a major player in the Big Brother franchise. Tucker is all about "expect the unexpected," and he's proven that with some of his biggest game moves so far in BB26.

Tucker first went on the block in Week 2, as a pawn during the Veto Replacement, with the goal being to win AI Arena to further push for Lisa's eviction. He accomplished that goal.

He was put up as a pawn again in Week 3, where he won the Veto and shocked houseguests and viewers by remaining on the block, and instead, using the Veto on Angela. Tucker's Veto decision ignited what was called the "most dramatic Veto meeting" in Big Brother history and forced houseguest Makensy Manbeck to use her Upgrade Power of America's Veto. Tucker then won his second AI Arena, with hopes of evicting houseguest Quinn Martin, but the house voted out Kenny Kelley.

Tucker was again placed on the block in Week 4, through Quinn's Deepfake HOH Upgrade Power. The fan-favorite houseguest removed himself from the block after winning the Power of Veto.

And now, in Week 5, Tucker won Head of Household and is taking complete control of the Big Brother house after taking the Veto win too. In just five weeks of Big Brother, Tucker has won six competitions. Similarly to how Tucker lives his everyday life, the Big Brother legend is taking the game into his own hands and not living by anyone else's rules.

"What sets me apart is me. I am my own being who has experienced things and taken out of those experiences what I felt helped me. It’s what makes everyone unique...," Tucker expressed in his 2018 interview with Medium.

"For me, it’s all a competition with myself."

"What’s the greatest I can possibly be? I don’t know. So, might as well push and push and never give up. Then I’ll know what I’m really made of."
