Jon Voight Has Been Vocal Of His Support For Donald Trump, While Questioning Angelina Jolie's Political Views

Over the years, one thing has been consistent and that's Jon Voight's outspoken support for Donald Trump. However, the actor caused confusion with his latest Francis Ford Coppola film, with a feeling that the film was a Trump satire. It seemed like Voight and Coppola were on opposite ends of the spectrum.

“I didn’t see that,” Voight said. “If I had, I would have told Francis he was out of line.”

Coppola issued a completely different response, “Men like Donald Trump are not at the moment in charge, but there is a trend happening in the world. There is a trend toward the more neo-right, even fascist division, which is frightening. Anyone who was alive during World War II saw the horrors that took place, and we don’t want a repeat of that. To do a Roman epic set in modern America, I had no idea that the politics of today would make that so relevant.”

He continued, “One of the things I might say about our wonderful cast is that they reflect all sorts of political ideas. Jon, you have different political opinions than me.”

The awkwardness between the two continued, “I’ve been telling Francis to make that movie for over 30 years,” Voight said. “I really don’t know why he thought that was the time to talk about our politics.”

Voight's political views certainly haven't sat well with those in Hollywood. Angelina Jolie hasn't reacted to her father's political views, but her actions certainly speak louder than words.

Angelina Jolie Showed Her Support For Joe Biden By Attending A White House Dinner

Back in April of 2023, Angelina Jolie and son Maddox attended a state showing support for President Biden, and the Korean President. A close source to People explained Jolie's presence at the event.

Maddox studied at Yonsei University in Seoul. Angelina has visited South Korea many times for her humanitarian and refugee advocacy over the past two decades, and as an artist. Jon Voight had a special gift for Jolie's daughter Vivienne following her Tony Award win for The Outsiders.

Voight did not comment on Jolie's part in the event. Though he did react negatively to Jolie's thoughts on the Israel and Palestine conflict.

Brad Pitt Has Also Backed Joe Biden In The Past

Back in October of 2020, Brad Pitt was revealed as the actor narrating for a Joe Biden campaign. The ad got massive exposure, playing during the World Series. The montage showed former President Biden with supporters.

Pitt said in the video:
