Andy Cohen confirmed the news of Kandi's award during an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Deadline reports. "During our BravoCon shows in Las Vegas this November at The Bravos, Kandi Burruss is the next recipient of the illustrious Wifetime Achievement Award recognizing her incredible run on The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Cohen said. "I'm so happy we get to really honor you in a really great way at The Bravos this year," he told Burruss.

But why did she stay on the show for so long? "A friend of mine was like, 'Why do you keep doing it?' And I was like, 'Well, I think because I've just been doing it so long, feels weird to think not to do it?'" she told Variety. "So I was just like, 'You know what? I'm going to take a break, I'm going to take a moment."
She continued, "It's been 14 seasons, and they allowed us to sit around for a little too long. But during that time, I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some nice big projects coming soon, so I'm super excited about those things."
