For a long time, Netflix was known for original movies that starred big names and TV shows that were headlined by A-listers. Over time, however, having a Netflix subscription became a must for anyone who considers themselves to be a reality TV junkie.

After all, Netflix is the home of shows like Selling Sunset which show rich and gorgeous people moving incredibly expensive real estate. Netflix also became the place to watch a British show with the same concept, titled Buying London. What many Buying London fans don't realize is the show's star, Daniel Daggers, starred in a different Netflix reality show first.

This article will reveal what Netflix reality show Daniel Daggers appeared in before Buying London. Then, the article will look at how Daggers became a real estate agent which led to his reality show career.

Daniel Daggers Appeared In Netflix's Reality The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties Years Before Buying London

After the monster success of Selling Sunset and Selling the O.C., there was no doubt that Netflix was on to something. As a result, it shouldn't surprise anyone that the people behind Netflix wanted to recreate that kind of success.

In May 2024, Netflix users got the chance to watch a Netflix reality show that clearly had a similar feel, Buying London. For many Buying London viewers, it instantly seemed like the show's star, Daniel Daggers, seemed like he had a perfect personality for reality TV.

What many Buying London fans didn't realize, however, was that Daggers had reality TV experience before Buying London. A couple of years earlier, Daggers played a pivotal role in a different Netflix reality show called The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties.

A Netflix reality show that premiered in 2021, The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties was a hit with audiences. In fact, The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties' first season has a truly impressive 83% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes as of June 2024.

Top Chef Head Judge Tom Colicchio had an eliminated competitor call him out and insult his food.

Unfortunately for Daniel Daggers, he can't take credit for how great that audience score is. Considering how boastful Daggers definitely can be, the fact that he can't take credit for that score may pain him, but that fact remains.

The reason Daggers can't take credit for that score is he appeared during The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties' second season. However, to Daggers' credit, a June 2022 article from Vox outlines how noteworthy his role in the show's second season was.

Throughout The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties' four seasons to date, the show has focused on The Kertz Family. A likable clan who run an extremely successful business empire, most viewers rooted for The Kertz Family to get what they wanted.

According to an article from Cosmopolitan U.K., it is unclear how much Daniel Daggers' net worth is. That said, the outlet reports that if Daggers' claim that he has sold £5 billion in property is true, it is safe to say that he is a millionaire at least.

During the second season of The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties, one of the things that The Kertz Family wanted was to work with Daniel Daggers. During the final episode of The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties' second season, The Kertz Family did their best to form a partnership with Daggers.

Top Chef's Marcel Vigneron was the subject of an assault so bad competitors were ejected and accusations of cheating.

As Vox's article explains, The Kertz Family wanted to attach their reputation to Daggers' for a very telling reason.

Even though The Kertz Family is wildly successful, they believed that Daggers' international reputation would help them. The reason for that is The Kertz Family was interested in expanding their business outside of France and believed being linked to Daggers would give them credibility.

In an attempt to form a business partnership with Daggers, The Kertz Family gave him a tour of the kind of real estate they deal in. More specifically, The Kertz Family gave Daggers a tour of a 32,000-square-foot castle with 30 rooms. That is the kind of real estate that viewers on Selling Sunset and Selling the O.C. aren't likely to see.

Considering that Buying London is a huge show for Netflix, it is amazing that many fans don't realize Daggers has a reality show past. After all, The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties also is a Netflix show, so it would make sense if the streaming service cross-promoted better.

Despite that, the fact that Daggers appeared on The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties isn't even listed on his IMDb page. With that in mind, Buying London fans who have no idea Daggers appeared on The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties can be forgiven.

On the bright side, Buying London fans who learn about The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties have another show to watch. On top of that, it is worth noting that The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties is a gorgeously shot show.

Daniel Daggers Owes His Real Estate Empire To A Horrible Accident

In May 2024, Daniel Daggers was interviewed by The New York Post. During the resulting interview, Daggers spoke at length about his life and his career. Daggers also spoke to the outlet about what makes Buying London such a remarkable show.

During Daggers' New York Post interview, he was asked how his real estate career began. Remarkably enough, Daggers explained that he was initially working toward a career in athletics until he suffered an injury.

Daggers also explained to the outlet that even though he is wildly successful, he performed badly at school. That left Daggers looking to figure out what to do with his life and he fell into his real estate career.

"I fell over and I broke my collarbone wanting to be a professional footballer—I mean football as in soccer. I didn’t succeed at university. I didn’t do well there at all. I fell into real estate literally when I was 17, and I worked for 10 years in a small company in the window as a spotty teenager."

Daggers went on to explain that after he made a name for himself, he went on to work for a major real estate company. "Then I went to a big firm and scaled that big, corporate business."

While working for that company, Daggers gained a lot of experience, including in the U.S. market. Then, Daggers explained that he decided to take the risk of launching his own business at a time of great upheaval. That same courage that allowed Daggers to take that kind of risk is what has allowed him to also become a Netflix reality TV star.

"I was really inspired, traveled the world, and then set up DDRE from my kitchen table in lockdown. You couldn’t have timed this worse in theory, but everything happens for a reason."
