Caitlyn Jenner Recently Attended Brody Jenner's Daughter's 1st Birthday Party

As of 2024, it has been years since Caitlyn Jenner has consistently starred in a reality show. The same thing is true for Brody Jenner, and it seems unlikely that he will not be a consistent reality star anytime soon.

With that in mind, it has been a while since Kardashian/Jenner fans have gotten to see Caitlyn and Brody Jenner together. At least, that was the case until Brody's fiancée Tia Blanco shared photos of the birthday party for the daughter they share.

When Tia shared photos from the birthday party on Instagram, observers quickly noted that Brody's mother Linda Thompson was in attendance. More importantly for this article, Tia's photos revealed that Caitlyn was at the party too.

Of course, Caitlyn attending her granddaughter's birthday party doesn't inherently mean that she is close with Brody. After all, some people attend family events even if their bonds with their loved ones have been frayed.

Based on the smiles on Brody and Caitlyn's faces in photos from the party, they seemed happy to be celebrating together.

With that in mind, it seems very likely that Brody and Caitlyn are at least on speaking terms even if they still have their issues.

Brandon Jenner And Caitlyn Jenner Have Become Close

Since Brody Jenner is more famous than Brandon Jenner, people tend to focus on him more. As a result, some people may think that it is unclear if Caitlyn Jenner is on good terms with either Brody or Brandon Jenner.

As it turns out, however, Brandon Jenner recently spoke out about his relationship with Caitlyn Jenner. In January 2024, Brandon was interviewed by Us Weekly, and he gave the outlet a very revealing quote about his personal life.

According to a February 2024 E! News article, Brandon Jenner is set to become a father of four. After he and his wife previously welcomed twins Bo and Sam, E! News reported they were expecting a daughter. The same article revealed that Brandon also has a daughter from a previous relationship.

While speaking to Us Weekly at the time, Brandon described his relationship with Caitlyn as "great". While that is interesting, Brandon was a lot more explicit than that. While talking to the outlet, Brandon stated that he and Caitlyn spoke often.

“I talk to my dad almost every day. We have a lot of things in common. … We’re both pilots, so we share a hanger, and we’re up there at least a couple times a week working on planes and flying and stuff.”

After explaining how often he spoke to Caitlyn and detailing what they had in common, Brandon elaborated on their relationship. While still speaking to Us Weekly, Brandon stated that he'd grown to think of Caitlyn as a friend.

“So, we’re very good friends and we have a great relationship, definitely better than it’s ever been, or just more close than it’s ever been, which is nice.”

At the end of that quote, Brandon referred to the fact that he wasn't always close to Caitlyn. Unfortunately, before they got on better terms, both Brandon and Brody Jenner publicly called out Caitlyn's parenting mistakes.

Brody Jenner And Brandon Jenner Have Both Stated That Caitlyn Jenner Was An Absent Parent

Based on what is currently known, it appears that Caitlyn Jenner has a better relationship with Brody and Brandon Jenner in 2024. However, the sad truth is that, based on her sons' past statements, Caitlyn could have improved a lot as a parent to them.

Before they became close, Brandon revealed that he had very little to do with Caitlyn for many years. While contributing to a collection of essays titled "To Me, He Was Just Dad”, Brandon detailed how little he saw Caitlyn for many years.

“I didn’t see my father more than half a dozen times between the ages eight and twenty-five. Sadly the infrequent exchanges felt more like staged photo opportunities than real bonding. In fact, they were stage photo ops for ‘family’ Christmas cards.”

As a part of the same essay, Brandon wrote about thinking Caitlyn had a strange view of what family is about. However, Brandon's view of the situation changed over time. “After Dad met and married Kris, family became a business for him, and I stayed away for most of my teenage years. I didn’t want to be a part of their dynamic. I know now, though, that Dad was pretty unhappy in that house and felt like he wasn’t treated well.”

Similarly, Brody Jenner has criticized Caitlyn's parenting in the past, as an August 2023 article detailed. As a part of a YouTube video he released celebrating the birth of his mother, Brody spoke about wanting to be a better parent than Caitlyn was.

"I think that what I’m most excited about is doing things differently than my father did. Growing up, I didn’t have the greatest relationship with then-Bruce. [Caitlyn] wasn’t really around for me growing up. So I think that just doing the exact opposite, being the absolute best father I could possibly be and getting ready for the journey and just so very excited."

Based on these comments and others they've made, it is very clear that Brandon and Brody had a strained relationship with Caitlyn in the past. With that in mind, it seems wonderful to see that they all appear to be on better terms.
