Being co-stars on set is a big responsibility, and like other workplace environments, it's never easy to know just how well some co-stars will get along. Some co-stars get intimidated by others, some find themselves struck with puppy love, and others wind up having some issues.
The Lost City co-stars, Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock, thankfully, became fast friends, and they made the movie a thrill ride for fans. That said, the pair did initially meet thanks to a conflict that saw them on opposing sides.
Let's take a look at how they met!
Channing Tatum And Sandra Bullock Starred In 'The Lost City' Together
Back in March, movie fans were treated to The Lost City, a film that wisely cast Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Brad Pitt. Not only was the film a solid action-adventure movie that people genuinely loved, but it was a hit at the box office.
During its time in theaters, The Lost City was able to rake in $190 million. This was a nice box office haul, and while there were many reasons for the film's success, it's impossible to discount the chemistry between Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock.
It was clear from the previews alone that Bullock and Tatum were going to be dynamic together, but their chemistry was more apparent than people initially thought. They're both solid at their craft, and their comedic timing in this movie was impeccable, as was their ability to work off of one another.
Should Bullock and Tatum decide to work together once again, you'd better believe that fans will turn up. This is a real possibility, as the pair became great friends while on set.
They Become Great Friends
Like other sets of co-stars before them, Bullock and Tatum eventually sparked a friendship while working on set together.
As one source told Hollywood Life, "They literally have the same sense of humor [and] work ethic that Channing would leap at the chance to work with [Sandra] again. He respects her and feels she is just an incredible human being."
It's not always easy to find a match like this, but the studio managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat with this duo here.
Another source was able to confirm this to the site.
"They really just connected from the start, and it made working together flow naturally. The Dominican Republic provided a beautiful backdrop for filming and there was never a dull moment, which allowed them to let loose a bit when they had time," the source said.
The pair have since confirmed that they became legitimate friends, and these sources sure help the stars' words feel like more than just PR.
Bullock and Tatum's friendship is genuine, and it shined on screen in the movie. These two, however, were on opposite sides of a conflict the first time that they met each other.
How A Fight Initially Brought Them Together
So, how in the world did a fight bring Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock together? The duo have opened up about their initial meeting, which involved their daughters having a beef with one another.
When speaking with People, Bullock opened up about the kids' conflict.
"Channing and I were always getting called by the principal of our school because our daughters were at each other's throats. It's not the case anymore, but like one of them was trying to outdo the other one and take the other one down. It was hilarious," the star said.
She also stated that "We were always praying it was the other one's daughter when we were called into the office."
Bullock and Tatum would even talk about the fiasco jointly during an interview with James Corden, eventually telling how the conflict came to an end.
"Do you remember there was a day that they had an altercation and I said 'Do I need to call Channing or Jenna, what do I need to do?' And they said, 'No, we're going to give them a task, a challenge.' And the challenge was: who can be the nicest to the other one? So they were bringing each other little Dixie cups of water," Bullock said.
Thanks to that challenge, and some solid parenting, the feud came to an end. The kids are even friendly with one another now.
Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock might have met in an unusual way, but we're sure glad that they were brought together.
