Moving off the map is very common for celebs in Hollywood. Take Ariel Winter as an example, the actress has been surrounded by media since her youth, and she desperately wanted out of that trend. She finally moved off the map, away from Hollywood's busiest locations and seems to be happier than ever.
It appears as though Chris Pratt also enjoys this type of simplicity to his life. In the following, we're going to take a closer look at Pratt's stunning homes. One of them has a mammoth worth of over $15 million, while the other home, shows Pratt's simple side.
We're going to take a closer look at his farm house as well, and reveal the other celebs that also opted for a similar circumstance. Tom Selleck himself agreed that moving off the map into a ranch was a beneficial move and one that helped to keep him grounded, in the midst of his wild fame.
Chris Pratt's Main Home Is A Stunning Mansion Worth Nearly $16 Million In Pacific Palisades
The main residence for Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt is in beautiful Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. The home is said to be worth $15.6 million, and it comes with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. According to Hello Magazine, the couple put a lot of time and funds into the home before moving in.
Hello Magazine writes, "It has 10,000 square feet of living space with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an infinity edge swimming pool with a pool house, a home gym, wine cellar and garage."
Given his fortune, such a purchase makes sense for Pratt. However, prior to his fame it was a completely different story as the actor was living out of his car with barely any money to survive.
"It's a pretty awesome place to be homeless," he said. "It would be different if I lived on the streets of Chicago and ate garbage from a dumpster. We just drank and smoked weed and worked minimal hours, 15-20 hours per week, just enough to cover gas, food and fishing supplies. You know, it was a charming time," Pratt said of his life before finding success in acting.
Turns out that Pratt still embraces that simple lifestyle and that's evident with his farm house home off the map.
Chris Pratt And Katherine Schwarzenegger Love Hanging Out At Their Farm House With The Sheep
For those that follow Chris Pratt, you're likely well aware of the actor's love for the farming life. Heck, following the success of the Super Mario Bros film, the actor celebrated by taking to his farm and celebrating with his baby goat.
He wrote on IG, "Thank you to everyone who checked out The Super Mario Bros. Movie this weekend! If you haven’t yet, do! To celebrate I held a baby goat, caught a couple bass, found a blacktail shed, drank some coffee and hung out with my bro in the A- frame he and his girlfriend Lindsay refurbished, got teased because Lindsay actually found the shed not me but I took a picture like I found it. Am I jealous? Yes. But would I tell her that? No."
He continues, "Psalm 23 “He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me to still water.”
The actor and his wife are embracing the simple lifestyle and have a home attached to the barn. In truth, Pratt is far from the only celeb to make such a purchase.
Chris Pratt Is Far From The Only Celeb To Purchase A Farm House Off The Map
Chris Pratt is not alone when it comes to the farm life. There are several celebs that decided to the same. Among that list includes Martha Stewart, Amanda Seyfried, Oprah Winfrey, Zayn Malik, Russell Crowe and so many others.
Tom Selleck is another major name to enjoy his life out on the ranch. Selleck admitted to quitting Magnum P.I. for a quieter life. His purchase of the ranch helped to keep him grounded in the midst of his crazy fame.
He explains, "My relationships and my ranch keep me sane. I do grunt work and I make the rounds. I like watching things grow. It's a retreat."
Selleck added about his fame, "I knew intellectually what it would mean in terms of being a public person, but until you've lived it, there's no way to understand it," says Selleck. "I had a feeling of, 'I don't think I'm cut out for this."
Clearly, the easygoing nature and quietness that takes place on a farm or ranch can be very beneficial towards a celebrity that lives a hectic life, constantly in the spotlight.
