Chrissy Teigen might love the beans sold by Goya Foods, but she definitely won't be buying them anymore. Soon after the CEO of Goya Foods made a bold political statement, a boycott of his brand took flight, and Chrissy Teigen is playing a big part in that movement. She's certainly not a stranger to making bold posts, and this one definitely makes a clearly defined statement.

Taking to social media to relay her dismay and disagreement with the CEO's statements, Chrissy Teigen's social media post leaves no room for misinterpretation; she's shedding her connection with any brand that aligns with Donald Trump and urges fans to do the same.

Chrissy Takes A Stand Against GoyaFoods

Sure, Chrissy may love the beans produced and sold by Goya Foods, but she will never be buying them again, and if it's up to her, nobody else will either. Never one to keep silent when she has an opinion to share, Chrissy is being loudly vocal about her disdain for anyone who is aligned with Donald Trump's mode of thinking. Clearly taking an anti-Trump stance, Teigen is sure to influence many of her fans and supporters into joining the boycott. She has the influence and reach to make waves, and she's certainly doing so.

The moment that created such change was when the CEO of Goya, Robert Unanue, made a bold statement demonstrating his strong support of Donald Trump's political platform, and therefore, his overall beliefs. He was quoted as declaring his support by saying; "We are all truly blessed ... to have a leader like President Trump who is a builder... we have an incredible builder, and we pray. We pray for our leadership, our president."

Chrissy Is Not Alone, The Boycott Is Gaining Steam

Chrissy Teigen won't have to stand alone in her boycott of this brand, that's for sure. Once regarded as the brand carrying staple food items praised and purchased by many ethnic households, things are starting to spiral downwards, and quickly.

Goya Foods is known by many as; "the nation's largest Hispanic-owned food brand," but that may be about to change. #boycottGoya and #goyawaya are trending on Twitter, and even Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has voiced her wishes for a boycott. Another politician proudly supporting the boycott is Julian Castro. Chrissie Fit, from Pitch Perfect, and Javier Munoz, known for his work on Hamilton have also joined the campaign. This could quite possibly mean huge losses for Goya in the very near future.
