At the start, fans were unsure of The Big Bang Theory. The initial pilot failed behind the scenes, and there was lots of uncertainty surrounding the project. By season 2, it was clear Chuck Lorre and CBS had another smash hit. The show became the top-rated on all of television, while Jim Parsons became the highest-paid actor in all of Hollywood.

Chuck Lorre had some fun of his own behind the scenes throughout the 12 seasons. Following each episode, Chuck Lorre flashed a quick vanity card after the credits. For those that were able to catch it, one in particular targeted Donald Trump. Let's take a quick recap back at how it all went down, and which other Big Bang cast members took shots at Trump during their time in the spotlight.

Chuck Lorre Used A Vanity Card To Take A Shot At Donald Trump During TBBT's 12th Season

Back in 2018, Chuck Lorre took a jab of his own at Donald Trump, and he did so on one of the biggest TV platforms out there, The Big Bang Theory. Lorre called Donald Trump a fascist, but he went about it in a clever, yet sneaky way. Lorre added a vanity card at the end of the credits that wrote in small, "Fascist, hate-filled, fear-mongering, demagogic, truth-shattering, autocratic golf cheater.” The card appeared during the final season, episode 6 titled, The Imitation Perturbation.

The card reads, "God, (I call you that even though I suspect thou art well beyond names and words and might actually be some sort of ineffable quantum situation), I humbly beseech thee to make thy presence known on November 6th. Demonstrate your omnipotence through us as we make ink marks on little circles in curtained booths. Of course if you, in your divine wisdom, believe a fascist, hate-filled, fear-mongering, demagogic, truth-shattering, autocratic golf cheater is what we need right now, then, you know, thy will be done.

"But if thou art inclined to more freedom, more love, more compassion, and just more of the good stuff thou hath been promoting in our hearts or our parietal lobes - either one, doesn’t really matter - I submissively ask that thy encourage voter turnout in that general direction. Also God, please help Bob Mueller. Guide him and make him strong, brave, wise and true. And yes, I know there must be thousands of guys named Bob Mueller, so why not help them all, just to be on the safe side. Amen. Oh, almost forgot, remind those who collaborate with the darkness that thou art the light, and the light is not above whipping out a little Old Testament wrath. Amen again."

Fans also got creative online, linking other Donald Trump moments that took place on the show.

Chuck Lorre revealed that the decision to end Young Sheldon was not his call.

Lorre was clearly making a statement in front of a massive audience.

It Wasn't The Only Time Chuck Lorre Snuck In A Hidden Message On One Of His Shows

Lorre's sense of humor with vanity cards started way back during his days on Dharma & Greg. One of his first messages simply wrote, "Thanks for videotaping Dharma & Greg and for freeze framing on my video card."

In classic Lorre fashion, he also used a hidden vanity card to take a shot at Charlie Sheen. The card reads, "Do not attempt to replicate what you saw in tonight's episode of Two and a Half Men. Despite the seeming lack of serious consequences and regardless of the hilarity that ensued, this is extremely dangerous behavior that could result in injury or death. Please keep in mind that we employ a highly-paid Hollywood professional who has years of experience with putting his life at risk. And sadly, no, I'm not talking about our stunt man."

Chuck Lorre has a net worth of $600 million.

It wasn't just sarcasm from Lorre during the cards. He had a simple yet emotional card during The Big Bang Theory's final episode. It reads, "The end." Lorre admitted saying goodbye to the sitcom was harder compared to his other shows, particularly given the bond he had created with the cast behind the scenes. Had it not been for Jim Parsons' decision to exit the show, Lorre's TV series could've gone on for several additional seasons.

Johnny Galecki Has Also Been Anti-Donald Trump

Similar to Chuck Lorre, Johnny Galecki has been vocal about his thoughts on Donald Trump. That all started during his interview with Stephen Colbert years ago, telling the host he was busy doing laundry on Trump's inauguration day. Galecki added to his rant against Trump in 2020 with a lengthy Instagram post. The post is still on his page, showing the former President holding a bible.

Since TBBT ended, Johnny Galecki got married and had hist first child, Orbison.

Galecki captioned:

  • "Donald Trump showing off one of the rare moments he’s held a Bible. Mr. Trump, you can not mobilize the American military against the American people. Not legally and certainly not morally. Such requires permission from each state. You do not know the Constitution. You do not know the law."
  • "You can not “dominate” us. You can only serve as the civil servant you were elected. We need understanding. And compassion. And trusted leadership. Not your irresponsible and thoughtless, extremely dangerous threats and your pathetic and impotent bullying. I’ve hesitated sharing these feelings of outrage because all our current fires do not need to be stoked further and all I pray for is peace and harmony and voices for us ALL. But I’m sincerely convinced at this point that this unstable person will not be satisfied until he creates another civil war."

As expected, Galecki's thoughts received mixed reactions online, and it also caused fans to hit the unfollow button.
