The Big Bang Theory's creator, Chuck Lorre was the first person find out about Galecki and Cuoco's secret relationship, after he found out accidentally.
According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Johnny Galecki said, "Chuck busted us hiding behind a car in the parking lot. It was after a show when we went outside, and we saw Chuck walk solo out of the stage."
He continued, adding that he and Cuoco had tried to hide from Lorre, but were caught anyway. "We were by some cars, and we ducked down, like kids hiding from their parents! And he totally busted us, but he was classy about it, and didn't say anything. We just didn't want anybody to worry."
Lorre has said he doesn't remember the incident. "That might be one of those things I compartmentalized like, I can't deal with this, I don't have the mental, emotional bandwidth to deal with an on-set romance."
At another point, the couple was found out by the crew. Nikki Lorre, an assistant director and director went to Galecki's after he'd missed a rehearsal. She said, "I call Anthony [Rich] back at the studio, who hands the phone over to Kaley, and she tells me what the code is and how to get in.
She added, "I remember thinking, 'How do you know all this, Kaley?' [Laughs] But I had to bite my tongue."
The two eventually made the decision to tell their fellow co-stars, not liking that they were keeping something so important from them.

When co-stars date, their fellow cast members might worry about a possible break-up, which could make things awkward for everyone on the show. When Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco first began their relationship, they kept their realtionship secret, even from their fellow Big Bang Theory cast mates.
However, they disliked keeping the secret from everyone, and eventually came clean that they were together.
Cuoco commented, "I don't even know how many months later, but we were in New York and I said to Johnny, 'I think we should tell the cast. It's starting to feel like we're lying to them'."
She then revealed who they told first. "Johnny said, 'I'm going to call Jim [Parsons] right now. I want to tell him.' We call Jim on speaker, and Johnny says, 'I'm in love with Kaley,' or 'I really want to be with Kaley,' and Jim goes, 'Ah! Does she know?!' I started laughing and yelled, 'Yes, I know! I'm here!'"
While they were together, they spent time with co-star Simon Helberg and his wife, Jocelyn. "Johnny and I did a lot of things together with Simon and his wife, Jocelyn."
She noted, "I'm sure they were probably more worried when we broke up, which was hard, yes, but it wasn't some traumatic thing that we brought everyone into."
Cuoco has said that keeping the relationship under wraps was partly the reason she and Galecki separated. "That's not the kind of relationship I want - I don't want to be hiding. We couldn't do anything. It wasn't as fun as we wanted it to be."
