It seems co-stars Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans ended up having a toxic relationship during the filming of their series, Lethal Weapon. The actors seemed to have a difficult relationship on the set.

Throughout filming their relationship behind the scenes deteriorated badly. During filming for Lethal Weapon, an on-set microphone caught just how toxic things had become between co-stars Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans.

Every once in a while, celebrities are caught speaking on a microphone while it's still on without realizing it. Other celebrities have been recorded saying or doing shocking things, and some claim to have recorded themselves doing certain things on purpose.

As tensions between Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford escalated on the set of Lethal Weapon, the two actors were caught in a heated argument while their microphones were still on.

The co-stars most likely did not realize they were being filmed. However, their angry exchange revealed the two seemed to be incredibly fed up with one another.

According to Variety, "the tension hit a breaking point when Crawford directed the second season's 20th episode." While the two co-stars were filming a certain scene which included an explosion, "Wayans was struck on the back of the head by a piece of shrapnel, suffering a laceration."

Although it has since been deleted, the Major Payne actor posted a video of his injury on Twitter.

When the actor came back to set the next day, he and Crawford got into an argument over Wayans' injury the day before. It seems Wayans didn't feel comfortable shooting another scene involving a stunt if Crawford was directing it.

It seems this caused their angry exchange, which was caught on camera.

What Has Damon Wayans Said About Their On-Set Feud?

While some celebrities who work together on projects can form fast friendships, others can end up feuding. Some of these feuds can go very public, dividing fans and even other celebrities, based on who they support.

When Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans' toxic relationship on the set of Lethal Weapon became public, some fans might have taken sides. Each actor has commented on what happened during filming, and their stories aren't exactly the same.

Damon Wayans decided to go public and discuss what happened on-set. According to Entertainment Weekly, in a Twitter post, Wayans wrote, "Now that the fate of the show is solidified, I'd like to address the Twitter outrage with this video and image to follow. How does the shrapnel from this hit me on the opposite side of the head? #directedby@claycrawford".

After this, The Last Boy Scout actor wrote in another post, "Since Warner Bros. is not defending me at all...here's another photo of images other people were posting in and around the lot. Not me! He became uninsurable. Relished in making female cry. And struck fear in cast and crew. #dontblameme".

Wayans doesn't seem to hold a grudge since Crawford was fired. He said, “I wish him the best. Onward and upward for everybody. It’s a lot looser."

What Has Clayne Crawford Said About His Feud With Damon Wayans?

Some celebrities have feuds on-set. Not all celebrities will get along with each other, and this can happen because of several reasons. Some celebrities are able to work things out. However, there have been times some celebrities have been unable to resolve things.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Clayne Crawford wrote a long post on Instagram in order to reply to what Damon Wayans had posted on Twitter about Crawford. In the post, the Tinker actor wrote "It is true that I have been reprimanded twice during the past season of Lethal Weapon."

Later in the post, he stated, "The second reprimand came during an episode I was directing. An actor on set felt unsafe because a piece of shrapnel from an effect hit him. It was an unfortunate event that happened in spite of all safety precautions and procedures being followed. I take responsibility for the incident because I was the director on set."

According to The Wrap, Crawford discussed the argument the two co-stars got into on-set. Crawford stated, "He'd been putting up with his (Wayans) s*** for two years and was just over it."

Crawford also stated, "It wasn't that he was injured, it was that he continued to say everyone targeted him. That's when it made a turn and he started to say that people should be fired."

The Above Ground actor also said that "They didn't show the whole tape. They gave you just a nice little piece." Crawford stated that he also told Wayans during the argument that "he could be replaced. I had to tell him that he's a waste of space and that nobody cares."

In the article, "Crawford added that he doesn't 'hate' Wayans and instead blames the 'leadership' on the show." He commented on season three, "I know they are making the show they always wanted to make, and I frustrated them constantly."
