The Couples From The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On Are Still Going Strong

Despite the crazy drama on Netflix's The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On—with contestants breaking the "mandatory" rules—the show has had a pretty good success rate. Hosted by Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey, the experiment produced nine happy couples, like Love Is Blind.

Five Ultimatum couples are also loving parents now. Love Is Blind has only two pairs of parents so far, along with Season 1's expectant parents, Amber and Matt Barnett. Here's an update on The Ultimatum couples' lives these days.

9 Madlyn Ballatori And Colby Kissinger, Season 1

Status: Married With Two Kids

Madlyn Ballatori and Colby Kissinger got married in May 2021 at the end of Season 1. A year later, they welcomed their first child, Josephine Riley Kissinger. Some fans speculated that Madlyn was pregnant while filming the show. But she clarified that she got pregnant "three months" after the show ended. "The show ended in May [2021]," Madlyn told E! News in April 2022. "And I got pregnant in August [2021]."

In September 2023, the Kissingers welcomed baby no. 2, a son named Conrad Lloyd Kissinger. Speaking about her pregnancy experience, Madlyn said it changed her and Colby for the better. "I really loved every minute of being pregnant," she told E! News in May 2022. "I felt like a champ. It gave me a whole new sense of confidence and love for myself and for Colby. It just totally grew me as an individual and us as a couple."

8 Shanique Imari And Randall Griffin, Season 1

Status: Engaged For The Second Time

After some ups and downs, Randall Griffin proposed to Shanique Imari at the end of Season 1. The engagement didn't last, but they decided to take things slow and live together. In July 2023, Randall proposed again. "Yes!—Today and all of our tomorrows," the bride-to-be wrote alongside photos of the sweet proposal. They're set to tie the knot in "2025 👰🏽‍♀️🤍," as indicated in Shanique's bio.

7 Alexis Maloney And Hunter Parr, Season 1

Status: Married

Hunter Parr and Alexis Maloney got engaged in Episode 3 before the experiment even started. They got married on June 18, 2022. Unfortunately, Alexis revealed on Instagram that she'd suffered a miscarriage after going through IVF in August 2024. "I had a miscarriage," she wrote. "Hunter and I were shocked and thrilled once we learned we were pregnant. A transfer finally worked!"

She continued: "We later found out I miscarried. It has been the most emotionally draining experience. The emptiness Hunter and I both share is crippling. However, I am so grateful for the family and friends rallying behind us. I am so thankful for everyone’s support truly."

6 Lauren Pounds And Nate Ruggles, Season 1

Status: Married With One Kid

Lauren Pound and Nate Ruggles joined The Ultimatum as he wanted to have kids, but she was not sure. But like Alexis and Hunter, the couple got engaged in the third episode, which surprised Lauren. They got married in October 2022. And in June 2024, they welcomed a son, Hudson Jay Ruggles.

Speaking to Your Poor Dad podcast in April 2022, Nate revealed that the producers made him issue the ultimatum. Lauren also called the show "toxic." While she respects that ultimatums worked for the Lacheys, she said "it was absolutely not" for her and Nate. She was also "hoping there would be professional therapists on site."

5 Roxanne Kaiser And Antonio Mattei, Season 2

Status: Married

Roxanne Kaiser and Antonio Mattei stood out the most in Season 2. She was this anti-marriage entrepreneur, mentioning her business-oriented lifestyle every chance she could, while he came off as someone who couldn't match her level. But at the end of the show (November 2022), the two decided to get married. They had a "modern, fresh" Persian wedding in October 2024.

Even then, "two weeks before the wedding, marriage still wasn't exactly top on mind" for Roxanne. But she and Antonio have come a long way. While fans thought she was hard on him by pushing him to achieve more (like LIB's Hannah Jiles to Nick Dorka), she said, "Antonio is now a thriving business owner, absolutely crushing it as a boss and owner."

4 Riah Nelson and Trey Brunson, Season 2

Status: Engaged With One Kid

Riah Nelson and Trey Brunson came on The Ultimatum as the former was hesitant about getting married because she'd never seen a "happy, healthy marriage." But despite Trey's connection with another contestant, Ryann Taylor, he and Riah got engaged. They then welcomed a daughter, Lailanni Brunso, in December 2023. They're "currently planning a destination wedding for spring 2025," per People.

3 Ryann Taylor And James Morris, Season 2

Status: Married With One Kid

Like Trey, Ryann was ready for marriage. But her high school sweetheart, James Morris, wasn't. But like Riah and Trey, Ryann and James left the show as an engaged couple. They got married in October 2023, nearly a year since Season 2 wrapped. The Morisses became parents to a daughter, Sunny James Morri, just right around their first wedding anniversary.

2 Kat Shelton And Alex Chapman, Season 2

Status: Married

Kat Shelton and Alex Chapman had the gender-reversed dynamic of Roxanne and Antonio. Alex wanted "more" like Roxanne, while Kat had to seemingly reach that standard, like Antonio. But when Roxanne and Alex matched up for trial marriage, the latter was exposed to be a somewhat phony business-driven person. Alex then proposed to Kat at the end of the show despite her concerns about his commitment issues.

They said their "I do's" in July 2024. Reflecting on their journey in the show, Kat wrote on Instagram: "Our love has grown stronger and stronger even since this day. Alex makes me my happiest self and vice versa. We choose to do hard things together and there is no one [I] would rather conquer the challenges with."

1 Lisa Horne And Brian Okoye, Season 2

Status: Engaged With One Kid

Lisa Horne and Brian Okoye had the most intense experience in Season 2 of The Ultimatum. Things got bad right away at the end of Episode 1 when the former was filmed hitting her partner after flirting with Riah. As it turned out, Lisa was pregnant at that time. She told Brian about it in Episode 3, prompting them to leave the show early.

"I'm glad we did make the decision to leave because I couldn't imagine having gone the rest of the show pregnant," she told Essence in October 2023. Their baby, Mason, turned one in May 2024. Brian finally got down on one knee after their son's birthday party.
