Meg Ryan has been acting since 1981. The 61 years old has had a successful career over the years, but due to being branded as a 'difficult actress' she was almost canceled by Hollywood. Daisy was born in China in 2004 but it wasn’t until 2006 that Meg adopted her as a single mother. When Meg Ryan saw Daisy True in 2006, she fell completely in love with her.
During an interview with Redbook in 2007, Meg said, “I am convinced, completely convinced that there was nothing random about it. She is the daughter I should have.” Meg continued to say, “She is the daughter I should have, I never felt like I was on a rescue mission or anything like that. I just really wanted a baby; I was on a mission to connect with somebody and Daisy and I got to meet each other this way at this time. We are so compatible. And also having the experience of having had Jack and now to have Daisy in a different way – there’s no difference in the love you feel.”

While most celebrities don’t have a problem raising their children in the public eye, the City Of Angels actress opted to raise her daughter privately. As we all know, fame sometimes gets to one’s head, and Meg didn’t want that for her adopted daughter Daisy.
During an interview with Redbook via People, Meg Ryan told the magazine that she enjoyed raising Daisy because Daisy was easygoing, and the actress loved that she was a mother for the second time. “Daisy doesn't feel hard. She doesn't feel like…there's no sweat on it, man. She's a good hang, and she's easy. She's very smart and she's very generous. I love that she's funny. I love that. I just can't imagine what it was like before she came. Life is good, it's so good with her in it. She and Jack get along great. All of us fit together beautifully.”
While most single mothers find it stressful to raise a child on their own, that didn’t seem to be the case for Meg Ryan. During an interview with Redbook the Sleepless In Seatle actress said, “I mean, Jack has his dad and they're close, he'll always have that. But when you're the only one in the house with the kids, you get to be the one in charge. You're the one making the rules. There's no stress because you and some other adult don't agree on how you want to raise your kids.”

Most parents love to post their children on social media to have memories to look at down the lane. It seems like Meg Ryan is one of those parents. Although Meg sometimes finds it depressing that most people pretend to be happy on social media, according to a statement she said during an interview with The New York Times. She still posts throwback pictures of her daughter a few times when she gets a chance.
In 2019, Meg posted side by side black and white pictures of her daughter Daisy when she was a baby and another one when she was entering the teen era. Meg captioned the photo, “My girl.” Most of her fans found it so adorable, and one follower left a comment under the picture saying, “Oh my goodness how time flies. She’s not a little girl anymore!”
That wasn't the only throwback photo Meg had of her daughter on her Instagram posts. While scrolling down through her page, she has more photos of Daisy playing dress up, learning how to swim, smiling heartily, and playing a unique instrument.

The main aim for Meg has always been to keep her daughter's life private and out of the spotlight. The paparazzi still managed to catch them taking strolls together. In 2019, the mother-daughter duo was spotted walking around the Tribeca neighborhood in New York casually dressed and all smiles.
In the same year, Meg Ryan and Daisy True attended the Schiaparelli show that was located in Paris, France. They sat at the front row of the Paris Haute Couture Fashion week and so their view was perfect. Meg was dressed in a stylish long black fitting dress whereas her daughter Daisy was dressed in an equally stylish white dress looking stunning as ever.
Apart from taking strolls and attending fashion shows in each other's company, Meg and her daughter Daisy were spotted grocery shopping together over the weekend in late 2020. Just when they were leaving a Trader Joe's store, the paparazzi took photos of them with their cart full of shopping as they were heading back to their car. The mother of two and her daughter were taking all the safety precaution measures with masks over their mouths and noses because it was in the mid of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
On the whole, It's clear to see that Meg Ryan raised her daughter well and their love for each other keeps growing stronger as the days go by.
