As one might expect, things immediately got awkward. Kimmel admitted that according to the neighbors' reaction, it was definitely him. Johnson was especially irked by the reason her neighbor decided to call a tow truck, "They kept calling about it and saying, 'I just really don't want to look at it anymore.' And I was like, 'Well, look somewhere else. You don't have to stare at it all day.' "

Kimmel would defend Johnson, stating that if anything, the truck was more in front of his house than anyone else on the block, "The truck was in front of both of our houses, and I didn't have a problem with it," Kimmel stated during their interview.

Ultimately, fans applauded Johnson's approach to the situation.

Fans Loved Dakota Johnson's Reaction To Calling Out Her Neighbors

"I’m gonna send them a cake... of my truck” lol the shade is real," another fan commented appreciating the sarcasm.

"Then look somewhere else" HAHAHAHAHAHA STANNING THIS WOMAN FOREVER."

"The way she paused before delivering the punchline is pure GOLD! @3:33 Made you think she was trying to somehow be apologetic for being confrontational by sending a cake then doubling down on making them feel guilty in a sweet passive-aggressive way."

"That was... freaking genius. The best way to make people respect you with a humorous touch. This is coming from someone who only knows her name being linked to those Grey movies and came from a Wired video where she was so soft spoken that made me curious about her personality."

At the very least, the story has a happy ending for Johnson as she was able to make it home just in time before the truck got towed.
