Dance Moms was a reality television show that managed to do two things: it brought out the best in dancing, and the worst in parental behavior. This series saw some of the most unruly adult behavior ever to grace the reality television screen. The Dance Moms mothers just could not keep their cool when it came to their precious little dancers' careers.

Some of the dancers and the moms got so steamed that they left the series early. Others stuck it out and continued on with their dancing careers or parlayed dancing into other entertainment avenues. The young ladies from Dance Moms all went their separate ways once the cameras stopped rolling, but they continue to have one thing in common: they all remained determined and goal-driven.

Check out what these ten well-known dancers who once danced for Abby Miller are up to these days.

Updated August 2024: This article has been updated to reflect the latest information. A reboot of the series, "Dance Moms: A New Era" premiered on Hulu on August 7, 2024. The highly anticipated series has a new cast of girls and their coach is Gloria "Glo" Hampton.

10 Brooke Hyland

Brooke Hyland runs a food blog, a YouTube channel, and is engaged

Dance Mom fans might remember Brooke for several reasons: 1) Her mom was feisty, outspoken, and often rageful Kelly, and 2) She appeared in episodes alongside her sister Paige. The family made an incredibly dramatic exit in the fourth season, with mom Kelly engaging in a verbal battle for the times with studio owner Abby Miller.

Years later, Brook Hyland is all grown up and doing much more than dancing. Brooke graduated from Ohio University, is running a food blog and YouTube channel, and is engaged to long-time boyfriend, Brian Thalman.

9 Paige Hyland

Paige Hyland graduated West Virginia University and is a social media influencer

Paige Hyland, Dance Mom star Brooke's younger sister, is still as cute as she was when she shook her stuff on the hit reality series. Aside from her stunningly sweet looks, though, much has changed with Paige's life. Since storming out of Dance Moms with her older sister and her high-strung mother, Paige has been living a rather normal life.

Paige attended and graduated from West Virginia University in 2023. Today, she is a social media influencer.

8 Nia Sioux

Nia Sioux graduated from UCLA and is working on a career in the entertainment industry

Nia Sioux is the daughter of maybe the most level-headed mom in Dance Mom history. That said, her mom, Holly, lost her cool a time or two (or three...or twenty.) Nia was often perceived as the underdog, missing out on opportunities while favorites scored parts of a lifetime.

Nia left Abby Miller's dance studio, no surprise, considering Abby was one of the hardest reality TV stars to work with, and has been doing some major things since her reality television stint. She landed a role on The Bold and the Beautiful and has other television projects in the works.

Some other projects that Nia has worked on, according to IMDb include:

Mean Girls (Movie)

2024

Social Media Friend (supporting)

I Am Mortal (Movie)

2021

Sonitas (supporting)

Imperfect High (TV Movie)

2021

Hannah Brooks (supporting)

Aside from acting, Nia has turned out music videos and songs over the last few years. She is clearly a triple threat. She can act, sing, and dance.

Nia also graduated from UCLA in 2024.

7 Maddie Ziegler

Maddie Ziegler is working on her career in the entertainment industry

Maddie Ziegler was the breakout star of the series from 2011 to 2016. She was crowned the golden child, and in Abby Miller's eyes, she could do no wrong. Just about every competition Maddie entered, she dominated with ease. Following her reign on Dance Moms, Maddie continues to move and groove her way into stardom.

She has since appeared on Dancing with the Stars and has popped up in many of music giant Sia's videos.

Maddie is also working on breaking into Hollywood. Some of the projects Maddie has worked on, according to IMDb, include:

My Old Ass (Movie)

2024

Ruthie (lead)

Fitting In (Movie)

2023

Lindy (lead)

Westside Story (lead)

2021

Velma (supporting)

Maddie is also a social media influencer.

6 Mackenzie Ziegler

Mackenzie Ziegler wrote an autobiography and is writing her third album

Like her sister Maddie, Mackenzie is making a move in the entertainment world following her work on Dance Moms. Mackenzie snagged the runner-up position on Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, and has transitioned into the music industry today.

She released her first album in 2014, called Mack Z, and then put out a follow-up album a few years later, entitled Phases.

Mackenzie has also done some modeling for significant designers, including Ralph Lauren and embarked on a career in the entertainment industry. Those projects, according to IMDb, include:

Let Us In (TV Series)

2021

Ivy (supporting)

Total Eclipse (TV Series)

2018-2020

Cassie (lead)

In 2023, Mackenzie published an autobiography talking about her relationship with her estranged father. She is also in the process of writing her third album that Mackenzie claims is more mature than her previous two.

5 Chloe Lukasiak

Chloe Lukasiak is the owner of Elevé National Dance Competition

Chloe had so much dancing potential when she was a part of Miller's crew. She even managed to become the highest-scoring ALDC soloist at Nationals in her final episode of the series. While her talent and achievements were boundless, her mom and Abby Miller would never quite see eye to eye. Eventually, the tensions mounted, and Chloe and her mother left Abby for good.

Chloe has left dancing for a time being and graduated from Pepperdine University. She penned a book called: Girl on Pointe: Chloe's Guide to Taking on the World and these days owns Elevé National Dance Competition, a dance company that is positive about dance rather than making dancers dislike themselves like Abby did to Chloe.

4 Camryn Bridges

Camryn Bridges designs dance apparel, went on tour with Kendrick Lamar, and danced for Missy Elliott at the Grammys

Camryn Bridges came onto the series in 2017 for season seven, and viewers often saw her get overlooked by Miller, mostly because of Bridges' anxiety. She was a talent nonetheless, and when her time on the show ended, she continued to dance.

Now Bridges is growing up fast and living her best life. She still dances, but not with ALDC. She has also become an advocate for mental health and has shared her experiences with fans via her YouTube channel. Bridges has also designed her own line of dance apparel.

Bridges also went on tour with Kendrick Lamar and danced for Missy Elliott at the Grammys.

3 Elliana Walmsley

Elliana Walmsley starred in Chicken Girls and hosts Girl Talk

Little Elliana Walmsley has worked her way up through the dancing ranks over the years. She started on the mini team, featured in season six, and then earned a place on the elite squad in season seven.

Since those days, Elliana has continued to work hard and prove herself as a performer. She starred in an off-broadway production of Dance Divas Nutcracker in 2017 and has also been a part of JoJo Siwa's tour. Elliana was also a part of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, and eventually came back to reality television to be a part of Dance Moms Season Eight.

Today, Elliana is known for her time on Chicken Girls and as a host for Girl Talk. She, like a lot of the girls from Dance Moms, is also a social media influencer.

2 Kendall Vertes

Kendall Vertes is attending James Madison University and is a social media influencer

Kendall served as a replacement for Vivi-Anne Stein in Season Two and bounced back and forth over the next few seasons of Dance Moms, coming in and leaving when the drama started hitting all-time highs. She left for good in Season Seven and became a part of The Irreplaceables.

Kendall now enjoys success in acting, having starred in Rapunzel: A Princess Frozen in Time, and is pretty huge on Instagram, with over 11 million followers. She is also attending James Madison University.

1 JoJo Siwa

JoJo Siwa went on to have an acting and singing career and released her latest single, "Karma" in 2024

JoJo Siwa was only a part of Dance Moms for a short time (between Season Five and Six) before Nickelodeon saw that the kid was going places and snagged her up. JoJo is now all grown up and everywhere. She has been a part of several shows on Nickelodeon, has established herself as quite the little songstress, and went on to create and launch a makeup line as well as a famous hair bowline.

JoJo has penned several books, and her YouYube channel is one of the most popular ones in the world. JoJo's time on Dance Moms was small potatoes compared to all that the now-multi-millionare did following the stint.

JoJo went on to be the first contestant on Dancing with the Stars to have a same-sex partner. Despite not winning, she broke major barriers doing so. She also released her newest single, "Karma" in 2024.
