Here's What You Should Know About 'Dance Moms: A New Era's' Coach Glo

There's a new dance coach in town and she's set to bring all the drama in the 'Dance Moms' reboot, 'Dance Moms: A New Era.'

Glo explained that she asked Abby for advice, but to her surprise, her estranged friend wasn't "receptive" and left her wondering what went wrong between them. She hopes they work things out in time, as she really cares about Abby and looks up to her.

Coach Glo Says Abby Lee Miller Isn’t Speaking To Her

The two coaches used to be good friends, but amid the tensions surrounding Dance Moms, Miss Glo revealed that Abby Lee Miller is currently not speaking to her.

“Abby and I met on the original show, and my daughter and I went on as one of the replacements for her team, and we became actually really fast friends,” Glo said to Us Weekly. “We’ve both been in the business for a very long time. We know a lot of the same people.”

When Abby heard Glo had gotten the job, she congratulated her over text, so Glo assumed everything was alright between them and hoped the former Dance Moms coach would give her some tips for this new challenge.

“I was thrilled because God knows I needed some advice and some guidance,” she added.

However, during an interview with Page Six, Glo revealed that Abby apparently changed her mind.

“I’m not sure she wanted to give me advice. She’s not speaking to me at the moment,” she confessed. "I did reach out to try to get together – because we were in Florida at the same time – she just wasn’t very receptive."

“It was upsetting, and I mean… friendship is above all else to me. This was a new show, it wasn’t going to be her, so why wouldn’t she be happy for her friend? I’m not really sure.”

“But hopefully we’ll get past that at some point.”

JoJo Siwa is among the people who are not sure about Dance Moms: A New Era's new casting. She said she will “sure as hell be tuned in,” but she's not comfortable with the way they replaced Abby Lee for Miss Glo.

"It makes me, quite honestly, a little sick to my stomach to see them try to replace Abby,” she candidly said to Us Weekly. “Even though Abby says the quote, ‘Everyone’s replaceable,’ Abby Lee is not replaceable. The only person that is not replaceable is the inventor of that quote.”

Fans Think Abby Lee Miller Wouldn't Be Relevant Anymore If Cancel Culture Existed At The Height Of 'Dance Moms' Fame

Fans agree that Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms would have (and should have) been canceled during the height of cancel culture.

To be clear, JoJo has nothing against Glo. What she doesn't like is the way the new show is having Glo take Abby's place instead of letting her be herself.

"I think that [Dance Moms: A New Era] would have a lot more success if Glo was Glo, not if Glo was Abby,” she explained. “I think, realistically, Glo would not do a pyramid. She would not say, ‘There’s six weeks ’till nationals.’ She would not use the exact Abby lingo.”

Maybe this is what annoys Abby Lee about the show as well, and that's why she's distancing herself from Glo. Hopefully, in time, they will work things out.
