Throughout the years, we've seen so many memorable moments on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Fans have witnessed a bit of everything, including emotional moments like Taylor Swift paying tribute to Fallon's late mother.
On the flip side, we've seen some shocking moments. Among the very top includes Daniel Radcliffe showing off his insane rap skills.
As we'll reveal in the following, Radcliffe has motivation when it comes to rapping, and it stems from his love towards Eminem.
We'll take a closer look at Radcliffe's thoughts about the artist, and how he was able to pull off one of the greatest moments in Tonight Show history.
Daniel Radcliffe Was A Major Eminem Fan Growing Up
Speaking alongside Jimmy Fallon, Daniel Radcliffe discussed his love for rap. According to the actor, his fascination started at a young age, and it was all thanks to Eminem. Radcliffe made mention that he was the first in his class to memorize the entire lyrics to Eminem's song.
"Initially, I got into Eminem and I was obsessed.I think I was the first kid in my class to learn all the words to The Real Slim Shady."
In a separate interview Radcliffe went in-depth over his love for the artist.
"The thing that excites me about music 99% of the time is lyrics. And Eminem particularly… I just find him amazing. When you analyse some of the lines and the lyrics…"
"Sometimes he will fit two references of other stuff and amazing rhyming, and a pun. He’ll do it in three lines but it takes you sometimes so long [to get it]. I can listen to him again and again and again and I’m still hearing new things. Also Eminem one of the only people who can make me laugh putting jokes there funny or rude or whatever it is. I just think there is a level of skill I can’t even relate to."
Radcliffe proved he is no ordinary fan, able to recite his favorite lines from the artist.
“Promising complete dominance, Sugar Ray Robinson /I’m in a league [Muhammad’s in, Ali’s my colleague bombing ’em. Probably end up on top of ’em, stomping ’em like Ndamukong. I’m Russian like a Ukrainian, LaDainian Tomlinson]”.
"LaDainian Tomlinson used to be a running back in the NFL, a very good one. What sometimes they call this job is “rushing”, which he makes into “Russian” and he also fits “Ukrainian” in, there is so much going on in these three lines! You’re like “How you ever come up with that?” It’s amazing."
As impressive as that was, his rap alongside Jimmy Fallon put his skills on another level...
Daniel Radcliffe Shocked Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show Crowd With His Version Of Alphabet Aerobics
Daniel Radcliffe saved his best act for the interview alongside Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show. Of course, the moment was likely discussed in the pre-interview, as Fallon conveniently had a microphone on-hand. Radcliffe agreed to rap, and he wasn't taking on an ordinary song, performing Alphabet Aerobics.
Fans were blown away by Radcliffe's knowledge of the song, while performing it at a ridiculously fast pace.
"Artificial amateurs, aren't at all amazing
Analytically, I assault, animate things
Broken barriers bounded by the bomb beat
Buildings are broken, basically I'm bombarding
Casually create catastrophes, casualties
Canceling cats, got their canopies collapsing..."
The song continues on all the way until the letter Z, and not once does Radcliffe stumble or take a break. It was truly something to see.
As shown in the video above, both Jimmy Fallon and the fans completely lost it over the moment.
Fans Had A Blast With The Interview Moment, And It Received More Than 118 Million Views On YouTube
Talk about a memorable moment in Tonight Show history, Radcliffe's rap has gathered 118 million views in the last eight years, with fans still discovering it today, or looking back at the moment. The comment section is filled over 76K fans chiming in. Comments range from Fallon's excitement, to how Daniel was able to pull off such an act.
"This is really impressive. You not only have to memorize those lyrics you also have to use the right breathing technique to spit them without running out of air. Nice!"
"Daniel Radcliffe is everything at once. He's an amazing actor, singer/rapper, can can dance. What is there that this man can't do."
"I love jimmys reaction around 2:48. It's like he's genuinely impressed and amazed at how fast it's getting lol like I'm sure they 'rehearsed' this before filming but honestly, to do this without making any mistakes at all, is really impressive. I love trying to memorize fast lyrics too but I'm no where near that good lol."
Radcliffe had other memorable moments with Jimmy Fallon, including a water war and reacting to Harry Potter memes. However, none compared to this moment that won't be forgotten.
