Although David Letterman is a legend of the late-night game, the host has had more than a few awkward interviews in the past. Heck, one in particular with Paris Hilton still rubs fans the wrong way to this very day.

In truth, Letterman had some bizarre interviews alongside a few female guests.

We'll take a look back at some of those, along with shedding a light on a very awkward segment that took place alongside Jennifer Aniston.

The interview went completely off the rails when Letterman decided to suck on his guest's hair. We'll take a look back at that moment and how it all went down.

David Letterman Has A History Of Awkward Interviews With His Female Guests

Ah yes, David Letterman is regarded by many as the king of late-night, given his remarkable longevity. However, like so many other late-night hosts, Letterman isn't immune to awkward moments and in fact, he has been put on blast in the past for some hard-to-watch interviews alongside female guests.

Lindsay Lohan might've been the worst of the bunch, in one interview, David asked a young Lohan at the time, what she fantasized about.

Making matters worse, when she would return to the show years later, Letterman would drill her about her rehab stint, something she revealed was not mentioned during the pre-interview. Things got so out of hand that Lohan cried on the air.

Other awkward Letterman moments include David tickling Cher for no apparent reason, making some weird comments towards Jessica Biel, touching Madonna and Catherine Zena-Jones for no apparent reason, and oh so many more weird moments.

Jennifer Aniston also falls into that category, as her interview took a very awkward and unexpected twist.

Things Took A Bizzare Turn When David Letterman Sucked On Jennifer Aniston's Hair

It started off as an innocent conversation, with David asking Jennifer Aniston if she was recognized on the regular by fans.

Aniston admitted she was, and the star told a story about being recognized by female fans in a sauna. It was at that point in which the interview took an awkward twist... Suddenly, David was making inappropriate comments about the sauna setting and how the women were unclothed.

Despite the awkwardness, Aniston was able to keep it together, though again, Dave would take things a step further, creepily going in back of Jen.

"Excuse me if this is rude I just want to try one thing." The host proceeds to put his hand on Aniston's neck and suck on her hair... at this point, Jen looked rather uncomfortable.

Despite the entire ordeal, fans on YouTube praised Aniston for her composure throughout the interview.

"What he did was so gross and completely out of the blue. Nothing about their conversation even remotely prompted that. She was a ridiculously good sport about it but we were all used to being treated like that back then I guess..."

"This is really sad to see. A grown woman being harassed in public and nobody did anything. The worst part is that he made her apologize and him playing the victim is just. Can you just imagine the horrible smell he left on Jennifer's hair."

To Jen's credit, not only did she handle herself with class, but that was a theme throughout her entire career.

Jennifer Aniston Has A History Of Sticking Up For Herself

Jennifer Aniston taking a stand is nothing new... Heck, prior to becoming a major star on 'Friends', the actress met with Lorne Michaels for a spot on 'SNL'. Not only did Aniston turn down the role, but she told Lorne that the atmosphere wasn't a good one for women and that the scene was regarded as a 'boys club'. That really just goes to show Aniston's values.

Aniston admitted in the past, sexism is very real, especially in the world of Hollywood.

"We're very much a sexist society. Women are still not paid as much as men....I've been up against that in negotiations myself."

Jen would also admit it is the same ordeal when it comes to her appearance.

"I really do think you're damned if you do and damned if you don't."

"You either are too fat "Oh my God, she's gained weight, getting chubby, mid-40s spread!" or "She's so skeletal, get some meat on her bones!" I've been on too-thin lists. I've been on what-happened-to-her lists."

Thanks to pioneers like Aniston, things are finally starting to change.

Jen and Reese Witherspoon got paid like premiere talent for 'The Morning Show', proving that equality finally starting to take shape in Hollywood, slowly but surely.
