Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been waiting for a certain superhero to join the ranks on the big screen for some time now. From Iron Man and Captain America to Black Panther and The Wasp, the superhero realm has always been full of many fan favorites.
As all good things must, with the end of the first 10 years of films within the MCU, some storylines ended after Avengers: Endgame. So with a changing world of heroes and villains, is a particularly snarky and sarcastic game-changer ready to mesh with some of the MCU's finest? It seems so!
In a 'reaction video' for Free Guy, an upcoming film starring Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool sat down to review the trailer, and he had a special friend with him.
Korg.
If you're a fan of the MCU already, you know the loveable guy made of rocks has an unmatched sense of humor, much like Deadpool. The pair were an easily loveable duo as they gave their opinions on Free Guy.
Of course, fans went wild as this was seen as Deadpool's introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here's some of what they had to say!
10 The Video Fans Never Knew They Needed
Of course, the introduction of Deadpool into the MCU had to be unexpected. Wade Wilson isn't just a guy trying to join the ranks, after all. He's got a backstory that will break your heart, and he became a mercenary after he lost the love of his life. Now he exists as an anti-hero (some would argue that title, however) who cusses, relishes in sarcasm, and exists outside the ranks of what the MCU has shown fans so far.
His snark was on full display through the reaction video, and as he announced that he'd be filming the video with Korg, more or less because no one else was available.
"Korg, who was not my first choice, but apparently, everyone else was too busy over on Disney+."
We have to admit; we're glad 'everyone else was too busy' because this introduction for Deadpool was everything we never knew that we needed.
9 This Still From The Reaction Video Says It All
Korg with his hand up, and Deadpool looking like he just couldn't be bothered. This still absolutely sums up a lot of the relationship between these two. They aren't totally similar, but they aren't completely different either. They've both got a unique sense of humor and sass, and fans sure hope this is just the beginning.
8 Deadpool's First Interactions With Korg Are Everything
Deadpool asked Korg for some advice about joining the MCU, and he was full of it. Of course, the advice wasn't entirely uplifting, but he was honest.
"Have a dream, chase it, lose that dream, just sabotage all sorts of happiness in pursuit of that dream, climb up to the peaks of that mountain and when you get to the top, land at the bottom and realize you're never going to achieve that dream, and at that point check your emails."
7 This Fan Is Hoping To See This Pairing On Screen
Now that Deadpool has been introduced into the MCU, fans are waiting for the pairing with Spiderman. Can you imagine Peter Parker and Wade Wilson joining forces to tackle evil? Fans certainly can, and they're patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for the moment it could happen,
6 This Fan Is So Grateful For Taika Waititi
Taika Waititi is one of the greats, so fans are thankful for the spark he brings to the MCU as Korg and his reactions with Deadpool. This GIF sums it up perfectly; it's so good, you almost want to cry about it.
5 This Fan Is Pleased
Some of our favorite memes come from totally random stills that fit into almost any circumstance, and this one is no different. BREAKING NEWS: LOCAL MAN IS PLEASED. Well, that's just it -- isn't it? Fans have been waiting for this one for a while, and fans are pleased!
4 So... Can We Get More Content?
Of course, we're supporting this statement 100 percent. Fans want more reaction videos with Deadpool and Korg. They want more sarcasm, more of this specific pair together, and more of their unique, but somehow completely endearing, take on film trailers.
Free Guy looks incredible, but this reaction video almost completely stole the show. Of course, that was the point here, but it still deserves to be said.
3 Giving Credit Where Credit Is Due
Credit has to be given to the film being reviewed, of course, and the teams who worked together to make this happen! Korg and Deadpool - if you search the pair on social media, you'll see how well this specific interaction worked. Thousands of tweets show just how much fans enjoyed seeing this happen, and a lot of those are asking for more!
2 Let's Add Another Character To The Mix
What could make a pairing like that of Korg and Deadpool even better? According to this fan, the answer is Luis from Ant-Man! We have to say, this wasn't a thought that crossed our minds until we read this tweet, but seeing it now, we have to agree! The laughs would just keep coming!
1 A Casual Entrance
Deadpool slid into the MCU as easily as some people slide into DMs, and no one is mad about it! Fans are hoping to see a lot more of this as we find out when and where we'll see Wilson make his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe next!
