Demi has been dating singer Jute$ for a year, but their relationship has largely been kept out of the spotlight.

Apart from her intricate and flashy dress, the rest of her look was pretty understated. She chose to wear discreet make-up and wore her beautiful silky hair down without any added flair. What stood out, however, was her stunning ring from her fiancé, Jordan Lutes. The pair got engaged in April last year, and while he didn't walk the red carpet with her, it's clear the couple is going strong.

Hopefully, this second chance at the Met Gala was more enjoyable than the last time she attended. Who knows? She might become a regular feature at this star-studded fashion event.

Demi Lovato didn't have a good time at the Met Gala back in 2016, both because she didn't get along with the other people who attended and also because she was going through a difficult time in her personal life. She also felt a big disconnect from the rich, famous people who attend those kinds of events, because that's not where she comes from at all, even if her popularity means she belongs there now.

"I had a terrible experience," she admitted to Billboard back in 2018. "This one celebrity was a complete bitch and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink."

At the time, fans speculated she was talking about Nicki Minaj, as the two singers had a feud all those years ago.

She was so uncomfortable at the Gala that she called her manager to get her out of there, and even managed to make it to a 10 pm Alcoholics Anonymous meeting to calm herself down.

"I changed my clothes, but I still had my diamonds on — millions of dollars of diamonds on in an AA meeting," she explained, slightly embarrassed. "And I related more to the homeless people in that meeting who struggled with the same struggles that I deal with than the people at the Met Gala — fake and sucking the fashion industry’s d**k. I might pop up in the opening [number] one day and be in Fabletics. Because that’s what I want to wear. I’m loving myself — not for what I look like, but for who I am."

Demi seems to have made peace with fame and what it entails and is now in a better place to attend those kinds of events.
