8 Dennis Rodman's First Marriage Lasted Only 82 days

Dennis Rodman has been married three times so far and all of his marriages ended up the same way — with divorce. He first got married in 1992 to Annie Bakes, but they divorced after only 82 days of their 'happily ever after'.

Then in 1998, Denis and model Carmen Electra said "I do" to each other in a chapel in Las Vegas. This marriage lasted a bit longer — six months — before the two got divorced. His last marriage was to Michelle Moyer, back in 2003, and it took her only a year to file for a divorce. But they tried to reconcile for several years before officially calling it quits for good, in 2012.

7 Rodman Was Accused Of Sexual Assault

Back in June 1998 a Las Vegas woman, Dixie Johnson, filed a lawsuit against Rodman for sexually assaulting her by grabbing one of her breasts. She claimed this happened at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel in April 1998. However, the following year Johnson decided to drop the lawsuit. Then in 2000, two other women claimed Rodman had assaulted them in October 1998. Rodman managed to reach out-of-court settlements with them.

6 He Was Arrested Five Times Between Since 1999

Since 1999 Dennis Rodman has been arrested six times. Half of these arrests were related to his alcohol addiction, while two of them were made for domestic violence. Another arrest happened in 2002 for obstructing the work of police officers, who were investigating a possible code violation at a restaurant Rodman owed.

5 He Went To Rehab Several Times

The first time Rodman entered rehab was back in May 2008, only a few days after he was arrested for alleged domestic violence. The following year, after appearing on Celebrity Apprentice, where he often consumed alcohol and acted erratically, Rodman entered rehab once more.

4 The Former Basketball Player Caused A Hit And Run In 2016

In July 2016, Dennis Rodman caused a hit-and-run accident near Santa Ana, California. According to LA Times, Rodman was charged with "causing a hit-and-run accident with property damage, driving across a highway divider, giving false information to police and driving without a valid license." He pleaded guilty in February the following year, and he got a sentence of three years of probation, in addition to 30 hours of community service.

3 And He Slapped A Man At A Bar In 2019

It seems that Rodman just can't stop getting in trouble. One of his last incidents occurred in 2019 when he slapped a man in a Florida bar for no apparent reason. Rodman was celebrating his birthday at the Buddha Sky Bar when he turned around and "open hand smack Soulouque two times," according to the police report. Rodman pleaded not guilty for the alleged battery.

2 He Became Very Good Friends With Kim Jong-un

Believe it or not, but out of over 300 million Americans, Dennis Rodman got to be the very first one to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Rodman traveled to North Korea several times and he became "friends for life" with the country's president. "I'm sorry my country and your country are not on good terms. But for me, and your country, you're a friend for life," said Rodman in front of a packed stadium in Pyongyang, during his 2013 visit. Rodman is also close friends with Donald Trump, who he had endorsed in the 2016 Presidential Elections.

1 Rodman Also Campaigned For Kanye West In The 2020 Elections

In October 2020 Rodman took it to social media to officially endorse Kanye West in the 2020 Presidential Elections. The former basketball player posted a video wearing a hoodie and a cap that says 'Vote Kanye'. This shouldn't come as a surprise as West and Rodman have shown respect for each other on many occasions. Rodman even said he'd take Kanye to North Korea. "I’m going to invite him next time I go to North Korea. If the door’s open in September, I will invite Kanye West with me to go to North Korea," said Rodman in an interview with Us Weekly.
