Lola Sheen Got Into A Serious Car Accident
As the daughter of Charlie Sheen, Lola Sheen must have a better idea of how it feels to be criticized by the media than most people. After all, Charlie Sheen has been the subject of so many negative headlines over the years that it would take far too long to list all of his controversies here.
Of course, there is a world of difference between watching a loved one go through a controversy and being at the center of one yourself. Unfortunately for Lola Sheen, she experienced being at the center of many negative headlines in mid-2022 and early-2023.
The reason why there were so many negative headlines written about Lola Sheen during that time period stems from a pair of controversies. Both of Lola Sheen's controversies revolved around the same theme, the young woman's driving.
Like a lot of other teens, Lola Sheen got her driver's license shortly after she turned sixteen years old. When younger adults get their first taste of the freedom that being able to drive alone gives, many of them wind up pushing the envelope when they are behind the wheel.
In June 2022, it was reported that Lola Sheen got into a serious car accident. At that time, there weren't any details about what led to the accident, so the public had no idea if dangerous driving played any role in what happened.
Since Lola Sheen was involved in the accident, the media spoke to the police about what happened. When the California Highway Patrol released some basic information about the accident, it was horrifying to realize how close the situation came to being tragic.
As it turns out, Lola Sheen's car was driving in the California canyons when it struck an embankment. As a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol revealed, they went to the scene of the accident after they received reports from people who saw Lola Sheen's car "over the edge" of a cliff.
According to the California Highway Patrol's statement about the accident, Lola Sheen's car came close to rolling over a cliff. The California Highway Patrol also stated that the vehicle had three passengers in her car at the time of the accident.
Most importantly, the California Highway Patrol's spokesperson announced that 'nobody was taken to the hospital". Instead, they reported that the extent of the injuries was "that the minor driver complained of a headache after the collision".
Months later in February 2023, Denise Richards appeared on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live”. Partway through the resulting interview, the subject of Lola Sheen's accident came up and Richards had some pretty shocking things to say.
When the California Highway Patrol released some details about Lola Sheen's accident, there were a lot of details that were left out. One example of that is they didn't reveal the fate of the vehicle involved in the accident.
Of course, since the car was hanging "over the edge" of a cliff, many people made assumptions about what kind of shape the vehicle was in. When Richards was interviewed by Lewis, she confirmed most people's assumptions when she stated that the vehicle was "totaled".
That said, most observers didn't expect a lot of the details that Richards also revealed about what happened that fateful night.
According to Richards, Lola Sheen's accident took place around midnight when her daughter was supposed to be in bed. Richards had no idea her daughter wasn't asleep until she got called by the police and told about the accident and learned Lola Sheen "snuck out" of the house.
If that wasn't shocking enough, Richards claimed that her daughter wasn't the one who was driving. Instead, Richards said that one of Lola's friends who "weren't supposed to" be driving was the one behind the wheel.
Richards went on to say that her daughter "protected the person driving". While Richards didn't elaborate on what that means, the California Highway Patrol reported to the scene and must have asked who was behind the wheel.

Keeping in mind the fact that Lola Sheen was only seventeen years old at the time of her car accident, it seems important to note that lots of teens mess up a lot. With that in mind, it is unfair for random observers to judge a teen that they know next to nothing about.
That said, most people can imagine the kind of trouble they would have gotten into if they did something similar. For the vast majority of teens, sneaking out, going on a joyride, and totaling their car is the kind of thing that their parents would never let them forget.
The absolute last thing that most teens would expect if they did what Lola Sheen did is their parents getting them a new car. For that reason, it took many observers by surprise when Denise Richards revealed during her SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” appearance that she got Lola Sheen a new vehicle.
If it wasn't surprising enough that Richards bought her daughter a new car, the famous actor and model bought Lola Sheen a Mercedes-Benz. While Richards couldn't say what Mercedes-Benz model she got for her daughter, she did remark it was a sedan.
Anticipating that she would be criticized for spoiling her daughter, Richards stated that Lola Sheen had to go without a car for "five or six months". Richards also explained that she got her daughter a Mercedes-Benz because the company's luxury vehicles are "very safe".
As Jeff Lewis' co-host Megan Weaver pointed out in Richards' defense, her daughter "needs a car, she's got to get around". On top of that, it must have been terrifying for Richards to learn how close her daughter came to going over the cliff so buying a vehicle she thinks is "very safe" makes sense.
