Josh Duggar was sentenced to twelve years in prison for crimes involving inappropriate images of children, but his conviction hasn't stopped his family from continuing to be in the public eye. If anything, the court case renewed interest in the family, whose reality shows ended due to Josh's issues (19 Kids and Counting) as well as concerns over the family's (specifically a Duggar son-in-law's) beliefs (Counting On). People are also concerned that reality hadn't set in for Josh's wife Anna, who until recently was posting in support of her husband on Instagram.

And while most of the Duggar family seems to be trying to avoid diving into Josh's troubled past or any discussion of how it all could have been avoided, one insider decided to head to Reddit for an AMA (ask me anything) session. One big detail they revealed? Plenty of people who met Josh Duggar knew he was a "creep" from day one, but no one said a word.

Someone Close To Anna Duggar Spilled Details On Reddit

Anna Duggar, née Keller, was born into a conservative family much like her husband's, though she had far fewer siblings than Josh.

Someone who claims to have known Anna during her childhood decided, at the request of a friend and avid Reddit user, to hold an AMA session about her relationship with — and knowledge of — Anna.

The powers that be at Reddit apparently confirmed the person's identity, though still cautioned commenters to take the anonymous person's responses with a grain of salt (which is apparently a standard cautionary note).

The anonymous poster didn't claim to know Josh's side of the family very personally, but they did meet Josh, knew Anna well enough to attend the couple's wedding, and kept in touch after she was married and up until Anna became a mom of multiple kids.

And what the source had to share wasn't great.

Insiders Say Josh Duggar's Family And Friends Knew He Was "A Creep"

When a Redditor asked the Duggar insider whether the "family/broader community" thought Josh was innocent, the response was a resounding no. In fact, they wrote of Josh, "He’s a creep and if you spent 20 min with him you knew it."

Further, they elaborated, "I think there are a couple siblings who maaaaaybe think he could be innocent but for the most part it’s widely accepted he’s not innocent." That is to say, the community surrounding the Duggars may not think Josh is innocent.

Another Redditor, who claimed to know Josh Duggar casually, said they also got "creep vibes" as they were around Josh "several times at their house or various places."

That commenter noted they were 13 during one interaction and felt as if Josh was "hitting on" them, but their parents didn't believe them. As sad as that is to hear, it's, unfortunately, the same scenario that played out when anyone expressed concern about Josh's behavior as a teen and young man, prior to his marriage.

Fans Think The Duggar Family Is Still In Denial

Though the Duggar insider suggests everyone knows Josh is guilty, there's previously been a lot of discussion over whether any of them actually thinks he's innocent. Though his wife Anna seems to have stood by him (so far at least), there have been inklings of condemnation from his siblings.

Yet, as fans pointed out, Michelle Duggar's letter to the court included hearts over her i's and a plea to go easy on her son. It seems as if she doesn't think he's guilty, and will continue to support him during his prison sentence.

Other family members have spoken out about Josh's conviction, with varying levels of specifics and details. No one has come out and said he is wrong and deserves to be in jail, in essence, but they have suggested that he needs help and that people impacted by such crimes should receive support to heal.

And while Josh has been convicted and sentenced, his legal team filed multiple appeals to attempt to get his sentence shortened or achieve a retrial. At this time, it seems unlikely that he will successfully get released from prison.

Although Anna Duggar deactivated her Instagram in early October 2022, one of her last posts was in support of Josh and claimed that new documents would reveal the truth.

Some speculated that Anna went quiet to avoid people dragging Josh in her comments, but for now, no one knows for sure what the reason was for her disappearance from social media.
